Our Verdict

Deal becomes better when you combine it with the AmEx Offer for $20 back when you spend $60+ on Google Express. If trying to trigger that offer, make sure you spend well above $60 as they are known for repricing items and the charge being less than $60.

  • I tried using Google Express for the very first time the other day. The day after I ordered I got an email that my order was cancelled because the item was out of stock (at Target), wasting my 1st-time-user discount and amex offer at the same time while receiving nothing...

  • I got a 20% off coupon and max $20. I was going to buy some things from Target anyways, so this was perfect timing.

    • I called Google Express on 4/26/18...they said currently there is a "glitch" with using American Express cards on Google Express and that the "glitch" would be fixed "in a few days"....by that time the $20 Amex credit will expire.

    • It is blocking my only credit card with Amex offer somehow if I want to use coupon. If I don’t use coupon, then the credit card went through just fine

  • I actually received a better offer today. I recently made a purchase through Google express so I don't know if this triggered it or it's related to this offer.

    It's 20% off with max savings of $100, so 20% off on up to $500 in spend. Exact wording is:
