    • @guest_1244211 it looks like they will. From OMAAT: “Both paid stays and award stays at Hyatt hotels and resorts qualify, as long as they’re booked direct with Hyatt” I can confirm in November 2020 a Hyatt award stay counted for me for an Aadvantage promo (that promo was 1k AA per night. I stayed 10 nights and got 10k Aa.

    • Why should it? Almost no hotel promos work on hotel stays, because they require a "qualified" stay, which means a stay on which you earn points, and you don't points on award stays.

And if you click on the offer link above, you immediately see; "Enjoy 1,000 American Airlines bonus miles per qualifying stay", and that term "qualifying stay" answers your question if you know a qualifying stay means.

        • What high horse??? I was explaining WHY the answer is NO. People keep asking this question about every promo, when the answer is almost always NO!

What would you have me say instead, that the answer is NO without explaining why and how someone can find out? How would that help anyone else???????????

          • Some of Hyatt's recent promotions, like the 2,000 points back (or 2,500 for credit card holders) for every two nights stays included award stays. Whether or not they are for this promotion is actually a great question.

          • Did those promotions include award stays per the rules, or did they also have a "qualifying stay" requirement and yet worked on award stays? That distinction is important to shed light on this promotion.

In any case, it can only be determined for sure by datapoints (since this one has a "qualified stay" requirement per the T&Cs). But if no one here wants to risk doing an award stay to see if it works, no one here will get a datapoint.

      • Their Brand Explorer (stay with 5 brands to earn one free night) is compatible if you redeemed a nights stay using points. So it's a valid question that I'm curious about as well.

        • Compatible per the rules, or incompatible per the rules but turned out to be compatible in actual practice? That's important to know, to compare promotions (since this promotion spells out that a "qualified stay" is required).
