The Offer

The Fine Print

- To be eligible for the $200 bonus you must open a new Worry-Free Checking account between July 6, 2018 and August 31, 2018.
- To earn the $200 bonus you must have Direct Deposits totaling $2,000 post to your account in the first 90 days.
- The bonus will be paid directly to your account by December 31, 2018.
- Bonus payment will be reported to the IRS for the tax year in which it is paid. Offer may be discontinued at any time without prior notice
Avoiding Fees
Worry free checking account has no monthly fee to worry about. I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so I’m unsure on any early account termination fees.
Our Verdict
Previously they offered the same bonus but required debit card transactions instead of direct deposits. Sadly we still don’t know if it’s a hard pull and if the targeted language is enforced or not. If anybody knows then please share your experiences in the comments below. For now it won’t be added to our best checking bonuses, at least until we know more.

Very chex sensitive. I was declined in branch.
To be eligible for the $200 you must open a new checking account between April 1, 2024 and June 30, 2024 and use your new Rockland Trust Debit Card to make at least 15 purchases of $10 or more within 60 days of your account opening date. I went in branch to open this account today and I was declined due to chex ("Notice of Adverse Action"). I checked my chex report and they did not even pull the chex report today. I went in March initially when I was declined and they pulled the chex report at that time.
Did they use the same chex report to decline today as well? what should I do in this case? or Should I wait certain period of time before I apply again so that the previous chex report is cleared from their system. I was under the impression Banks always pull the latest chex report to make the decision.

From the other comments though, it seems they enforce the targeted language.
Similar to other posters I was not targeted, but in footprint. Did not receive the bonus with real DD. Oh well. Not going to try and hassle them about it, just be aware they are enforcing the targeted language.
FYI - CC cap is below $2500. I was able to do $2000, so cap is somewhere in the 2000-2500 range
