Last year they started on the week of Black Friday. Maybe someone should just call a store and see if this promo is active already

Stopped in at Staples to burn my Biz Gold credits and this deal is neither advertised nor active at the moment.

Of course there are never signs for no activation fees for VISA gift cards, so who knows,
