Yotta Savings Improves Referral Program

Yotta Savings is a lottery type savings account that currently offers 2.5-3.5% APY. Previously if you referred friends you’d both earn 100 bonus tickets. Now they have different medal tiers for referrals:

  • Bronze (requires 0-2 referrals): Earn 100 tickets per referral
  • Silver (requires 3-5 referrals): Earn 150 tickets per referral + 300 bonus tickets
  • Gold (requires 6-9 referrals): Earn 200 tickets per referral + 600 bonus tickets + 5% extra tickets per week
  • Platinum (requires 10+ referrals): Earn 250 tickets per referral + 1,000 bonus tickets + 10% extra tickets per week

If you can hit 10 or more referrals then that would increase the interest rate by 10% (e.g from 2.5% to 2.75%), obviously won’t be possible for most people. Don’t share your referrals in this post, but I’ve reopened the referral post for the next 24 hours or so (make sure to not repost your link there if you’ve already posted). It also doesn’t look like there is any change for people signing up, you still just get 100 bonus tickets.

  • I contacted Yotta about withdrawal limits of my own money back to the original source on Nov. 5. I did not hear back from them until Nov. 8 via message. After they verified me and supposing increased my withdrawal limits, I was able to initiate withdrawal back to the original account from which I transferred the funds last year. On the same date - Nov. 8 all Yotta tickets for the amounts were withdrawn from my account. As of today, Nov. 16 my funds are still pending and I still have no access to my own funds.

  • Just keep in mind that with Yotta customer service is almost nonexistent. If you ever need to withdraw your own money, they can keep it hostage for very long time. Nobody answers the Customer Service number and it takes days somebody to reply to text messages.

  • Do NOT use Yotta. They claimed it’s no fee, but they begin charging small balance fee since July.

  • Definitely worth it. Minimum 5%. Use referral code: GOTCHA, this week only, double the number of bonus tickets.

  • Yotta sent out an e-mail this week... Subj: This Week Only: We're Doubling Referral Bonuses

    THIS WEEK ONLY -- WE’RE DOUBLING TICKET REFERRAL BONUSES
    Through 03/27 each successful referral will earn you double the number of bonus tickets you would normally earn. For example, if you have achieved platinum status each friend who signs up for a Yotta account and makes a deposit this week will earn you 500 tickets instead of the 250 tickets/referral normally earned.

    Bronze - 100 tickets/referral --> now 200 tickets/referral
    Silver - 150 tickets/referral --> now 300 tickets/referral
    Gold - 200 tickets/referral --> now 400 tickets/referral
    Platinum - 250 tickets/referral --> now 500 tickets/referral

  • IMPORTANT CHANGE: Yotta Ball now goes 1 to 63 instead of 1 to 25. Since the yotta ball is very important in how much you actually end up winning, this is a really important change to note since it will likely result in a 50% or more cut in winnings.

This change allows us to maintain the sizes of our prizes, while also maintaining our position as one of the highest value savings accounts on the market.

    The email also notes that the second biggest prize is now a model 3 tesla.

  • I checked with both Yotta and its bank. Here is the response.
