  • I'm now paying $1.43/month for the YouTube Premium Family thanks to comments from Slickdeals about the Argentina hack. This is how I did it: I used free TunnelBear to VPN into Argentina. I signed up to YouTube Premium Family and used my Cash app debit card to pay. I found a random valid Argentina address for billing. Done, now I added all my family and friends.

    • YouTube Premium has updated its credit card approval process, so this method no longer works for most online users. While you can still connect to a VPN to get a discounted subscription price, you will need a Visa or Mastercard issued from the country you’re trying to sign up through, with a corresponding billing address.

    • How did you add more people? I tried to add my main account and it’s said account from another country.

      • You might need to get off the VPN and back to a US IP in order to add other US accounts to your family

    • Argentina isn't working with SurfShark. It says YT Premium isn't available in your country. Any other ideas?

        • It worked. I don't have CashApp anymore. Can I use a credit card, or will that not work with an Argentine address?

  • Quick reminder that you can get YouTube premium using a VPN in India for just under a buck/month. Been doing that for a while now

    • Both the VPN services I used to use - TunnelBear & VPN Unlimited - no longer provide India option for VPN target. India has started requiring logging from VPN providers and most are now abandoning India.

    • I watch a lot of YouTube on my AppleTV set top box. Any easier way to block ads there?

  • This is how they got me, years ago back when it was YouTube Red, they offered 3 months for 99¢. I did it and spent the whole summer watching YouTube ad-free (geniuses). September rolled around and I just kept paying for it. It’s been like six years now.

  • I always want to go for this, then I remember I have Vanced on my phone and Smart Tube Next on my TV and have no actual need for this.

  • It would be good to mention - You don't have to wait until the 3rd month to cancel. If you sign up and immediately cancel, your trial still runs for 3 months.

  • This has been a recurring Google Pay offer every year. A year ago, you could stack this with a free 3-month trial of Discord NItro. 👽
