Back in June AT&T announced that the way you earned Plenti points would be changing on September 1st. We knew that you’d earn 1 point per $2 spent on eligible merchandise, but they didn’t let us know how points would be earned for monthly service charges. Starting September 4th, it’ll work as follows:
- You must be enrolled in AutoPay and Paperless billing to receive any points on monthly service charges
- If you are, you’ll receive the following fixed rates:
- 50 points per month for each active wireless line (up to 6 lines for a maximum of 300 points per month)
- 100 points per month for having DIRECTV® or U-verse® TV
- 100 points per month for having AT&T U-verse® High Speed Internet
Previously you earned 1x point per $1 spent, so for people with monthly bills of under $50 for wireless lines you’ll actually be better off. Full e-mail below:
Let me know what your thoughts on these charges are in the comments below.
Hat tip to Richard G
i would like to enroll my plenti card account nunber to my att. acount card no. as follows/ [removed account #, you’re on a blog be more careful with your personal details].
I have 10 lines, totaling $640 per month. So I typically get 580-620 points per month and have $169 in rewards available. I don’t like that I now have to have autopay enabled so that’ll be the last of it for me I guess.
What are Plenti points even good for? I have a bunch saved up, but how do I even spend them?
Easiest places to use them would be on gas at Exxon or anything you might need that Rite-Aid carries.
I’ll be slightly worse off under this new formula. We have 4 lines totaling $215 a month so we’ll lose 15 points per month.
Basically 1c per point with some restrictions for participating merchants
There is a new plenti Rite Aid offer. Is this interesting?
“Earn 2000 points after you spend $50 on qualifying Rake in the Points specially marked promotional product”
Standard offer really
You must have ATT Wireless service to get Plenti points for Direct TV/Uverse TV or Uverse High Speed Internet service. I have Uverse TV and Internet and get the following message when trying to link to my Plenti account.
“Looks like the account you’re trying to link isn’t eligible to link with Plenti at this time. Currently, only AT&T consumer postpaid wireless accounts are eligible to link with Plenti.”
This is a REvaluation. Unusual!
