As of 4/14, this still works. I just got an email from NetSpend with this code.

It did not work for me, but it did for my wife. Neither of us were targeted. The difference is that I had used a similar promotion previously.

Can anyone confirm that it worked for them when they had done a similar previous promotion? If not, that’s my guess.

That is definitely the reason. I just tried again and it said the promotion was invalid or I wasn’t eligible to use it. I then put “Bonus14” instead and it said “invalid” but didn’t include the “eligible” part of the message. This means that they are limiting people to one bonus code like the terms say. Unfortunately I lost $5 by doing the right thing. Months ago I used the Bonus10 (rather than Bonus15) because that was the code NetSpend had emailed to me.

Not working to me even though I was targeted.
Wrote a check to myself from my BoA account. Scanned, entered promocode, got $15 bonus but after clicking to confirm got a popup “This transaction will not be reviewed. please do not resubmit. (A103)” 🙁

Save yourself the headache and pass on this one. I was targeted and did this last month during the window that ended 2/29.

They initially didn’t honor it because it didn’t post until a few days after 2/29 yet there is nothing in the terms that states it must clear before the specified end date. After 4-5 emails with them, including one that told me it was for targeted people only (I offered to send them proof), they sent me $10 as a courtesy credit. I guess I am supposed to thank them for $10 and half an hour wasted time when I was supposed to receive $15. I’m all for scooping up easy deals, but easy this one is not. Oh, and their mobile app sucks too.

I highly recommend passing unless your time is worth less than minimum wage when fighting to get your credit. You’ve been warned.

Strange that some non-targeted people didn’t get through – I wasn’t targeted and it applied the promo. It really can’t hurt to try, you just write a check, take a picture in the mobile app, put in the promo code and see what happens.

If it were only that simple. Between a crappy app and it taking up to 10 business days to clear it’s not worth the trouble when even those who are targeted have issues. I’ve read the same on other forums regarding not getting the bonus when you were targeted as well.

Thanks. I was able to get it thru my iPhone by continuously pressing the refresh button for about 5 minutes straight and then it went to processing for around 6 hours before it finally went thru

I tried this earlier this month or last month and the promo was rejected. I think they closed the loophole of not having to be targeted. I’ll try it again if others report success.

I tried, but it said you are not eligible.
