$300 Bose Headphones for as little as $69 on Amazon

Amazon has a terrific Prime Day offer to get Bose wired headphones for just $125 (affiliate link here and below). This is one of the most popular deals trending on Amazon as well as for our readers.

Earlier today we discovered that when Amazon applies the 20% off MR discount they often use the original price instead of the discounted price, thus offering an even greater discount. Reader Tyler points out that this is working for the Bose headphones as well.

Check if you are eligible for the 20% American Express MR discount

The ironic result is that the Bose for Apple device which has a $279 regular price ends up a good bit cheaper than the Bose for Android device which has a regular price of $198. (Both have list price of $299.) Since Amazon is calculating the 20% discount based on the regular price, they’re giving a $55.80 discount off the Bose-Apple price and a $39.60 discount off the Bose-Android price.

This is quite a deal even at $125. If you’re lucky to still have the 20% off available, it becomes really incredible. This deal has been ongoing for many hours now, hopefully it lasts through Prime Day, though I don’t think that’s certain given the amount of attention it’s gotten. [If you prefer wireless, go for the Sennheiser Wireless Noise Headphones (list price $199) for around $60 after the 20% discount, as we noted in the original post.]

In conclusion: please, don’t buy something you don’t need. We highlight deals for those who can make use of them or want them as gifts. You can buy up to 3 of each version. We’ll add this to our main Prime Day post.

If you add $221 of [amazon/third party] gift cards with the Bose Headphones (list $279, prime day $125), with the 20% AmEx promo code, you get $100 off. This makes the Bose headphones effectively $25+tax.

Finally! Could get the MR point promotion working with this using the new code!

Not certain I would recommend the Sennheiser’s just for the wireless connectivity. I have 3 pairs of Sennheiser’s for listening to music and computer stuff here at home- but their noise cancelling headphones don’t hold a candle to Bose. Not worth it even at 60 bucks IMHO. If you travel by plane- and that is the reason you are getting noise cancelling headphones- nothing stacks up to Bose for this.

Still have the 20 off 50+ purchase on the amex platinum too. What a steal @ $49.20 for Bose QC25. Thank you DOC!

I use these headphones at work and the sound quality is not that great. My LG brand harman/kardon wireless headset I bought for $50 at Costco sounds much better.

The only reason to buy Bose QC25 is for noise cancellation if you air travel a lot.

I didn’t like the claims of 1 year obsolescence in the Bose reviews so I went with the Sennheiser wireless headphones. It was $52.95 after the AMEX and Whole Foods promos. Only bad part is I couldnt pay down with my Amazon balance

I think it is for the phone/audio control buttons

This. Identical headphones; only difference is the removable cords (on which the phone/audio control buttons reside) differ.
