Our Verdict
Even if you’ve already opted in for paperless statements, it’s possible to get this deal. Here’s how:
- Log into your account normally, turn paperless statements off
- Log in using the promotional link and then paperless statements on
- Earn $5 bonus
If you have a Chase checking account then this seems like an easy $5 plus you’re doing something positive for the environment. Sending out paper statements is also surprisingly expensive for financial institutions so it’s fairly common to see these types of promos fairly regularly. If you don’t already have a Chase checking account, then I’d recommend reading this post which has a round up of what’s currently available.
It might also be possible to double dip this offer by enrolling now, then unenrolling sometime in early 2015 and re-enrolling as this bonus is one per calendar year.

FYI, It’s now showing March 31st, 2015 as the deadline.
Thanks for that. Updated.
Doesn’t work a second time with the new calendar year. Says I already received this offer.
Didn’t work for me! It says “Unable to Continue” when I try to apply the reward to my personal or business account.
Thanks anyway 🙂

I’m assuming you mean “paperless statements ON” in the second step?
Thanks to my intelligent readers! Fixed this.
