[Expired] 50% Discount On Walmart+ Subscription (7/5-7/18)

Deal has ended, view more Walmart deals by clicking here.

The Offer

Direct Link to offer (contains our affiliate)

  • Walmart is selling their annual Walmart+ membership subscription at a 50% discount through July 18th.

The Fine Print

  • This offer is available only to new, expired, monthly, and current Walmart+ trial members. Members through Walmart+ Assist, or with InHome or Paramount+ with SHOWTIME are not eligible.
  • After your promotional term, your plan will auto-renew for $98/year plus any applicable taxes. If you are a trial member, your promotional term will start immediately, and the remainder of your free trial will be forfeited.
  • Offer begins 7/5/24, 12 p.m. ET and expires 7/18/24, 12 p.m. ET.

Our Verdict

We constantly see discounts of 50% (or close) on Walmart+ membership; this is another opportunity for that. Amex Platinum cardholders always get their monthly Walmart+ membership fee credited back on their statement so this deal isn’t useful for those cardholders.

Requires tipping for delivery, minimum orders, absolutely no useful perks (6 month trials in garbage services). Basically worthless.

It’s not worth $98 but I pick up some non perishables from time to time for shipping. No minimum. Most of the time delivered by DoorDash but no tipping necessary (because I chose shipping and they elected DoorDash).

I don’t think the driver knows that you ordered shipping and WM decided to send a driver instead. To them it’s just another delivery order, so I do feel like a bit of an ass even if it’s not my fault. This is my biggest complaint with WM+.

Pretty messed up to expect the driver to pay to deliver your order for nothing. They barely make enough from Doordash to pay their vehicle expenses so when your not tipping your making someone to work for free.

Tipping is not required by definition.

I have Walmart+.

I ordered some cat litter for a friend who was running low on cash. It was delivered the same day.

I ordered cat flea medication for another friend yesterday Friday. It is being delivered by FedEx today.

It is very clear that Amazon really has no competition.

Amex has $49 off $98 for some of their cards, which worked out better recently when they were offering $40 Walmart Cash for signing up at regular price. I guess half price is better if you need it right now, but better deals seem to occasionally pop up.

Worth $20 only. Sorry. Like Sam’s club fee.

I just tried after hold Amex for awhile. My residence is not eligible for home delivery. I did the order online and pick up – they want a $35 minimum or a $6.99 charge. Find that kinda odd since I could order most of those items for free snail mail delivery. I would probably not pay if it were not free but since free, I can get value now and then by ordering items for snail mail delivery.

Walmart+ is somewhat worth it if you have a local one with a grocery store inside of it. The food delivery saves me a ton of time, just my opinion

I’ve never found the food quality at Walmart to be outstanding.

Some items are actually great for some items. You just have to do a bit more research in my opinion. It was very useful for me as a busy college student.

Agreed. I’ve found the food quality at Walmart to be subpar at best.

FWIW I don’t use WM for delivery, but I buy a lot of food at mine, and with limited exception I’ve had the opposite experience.

Items like organic milk, eggs and spring mix rival the price and quality of my local discount grocer, and often BJs Wholesale as well.

Added bonus of being able to pay with discounted gift cards, and shopping portals sometimes tracking (even with posted exclusions for food).

You can just buy name brand stuff at Walmart then – it’s still cheaper than the identical name brand stuff at the supermarket. I love the delivery

I stay away from their produce and meat market, but for other prepackaged items that we’d buy elsewhere, we just order online from WM, pay less $$$, and pick up from the parking lot.

I do live in a town without any real “premium” grocers, though.

Same here. I only buy goods but not fresh produce and meat at Walmart. Prepackaged foods like milk and breads are the exception. Surprisingly, the Ezekiel Bread is cheaper at Whole Foods when on sale than Walmart. I hope I’m not giving Amazon any ideas. 😏

If you get the wrong items, it takes 2 hours of phone calls to get a refund. I just canceled due to frustration and moved my deliveries to Target.
