How long will it take before it shows pending?

Do you have to buy all $100 in one transaction or can you buy in multiple transactions where it adds up to $100+? Looking to buy tickets to two separate events and totals would be $66 and $45 (before taxes, fees ,etc)

RetailMeNot has pretty good deals every Monday. They had $15 back on $30 at Barnes & Noble and $15 back on $30 at Staples. Sorry forgot to share. I have an alarm now set for every Monday to check RetailMeNot Monday Deals.

This was huge for me. Anderson Paak has been sold out in Chicago for months. The price was perfect at $105, totaling $135 after fees. $85 bucks isn’t a great deal, but certainly better than any other option. Craigslist sellers were only skeezy 2nd hand ticket seller companies. We doubled up with Player 2 as well. Thanks DoC!

Also, try not to be a schmuck and do this as a moneymaker for reselling. Scalpers are loathsome individuals. Just one man’s opinion…

Is the service fee considered as handling?

Yes. I would go by ticket price straight up before all the tacked on fees.

It’s crazy they charge $30 fee and then another $6 fee to the buyer. This is on top of the fee they charge sellers. Definitely would not buy from them unless I’m desperate. 🙄

Is there another resale market you prefer? Obviously it’s usually best to buy direct from the ticket office, but assuming I need to buy from the secondary market, I generally have found Stubhub reasonable compared to other sites (Vividseats, Seatgeek, etc.)

TickPick has no buyer’s fees.

Will this work buying tickets with StubHub GC credit or do I have to use a CC? I have $300 worth of credit on my account to use up at some point and could use this opportunity to buy some MLB tickets for the upcoming summer.

I just bought a $100 StubHub GC via Gyft and used it for $116 payment. However, I don’t think the offer is going to work because the “purchase” amount comes out as $16 since the $100 GC is considered a “Discount”, which is probably the amount that StubHub sends to RetailMeNot. Should’ve just used a CC, but we’ll see.

Would have to agree with this reasoning, I didn’t put enough time into a dummy booking before I posted that. In any case I chickened out and my total purchase price is still over $100 after the same “discounts” that Carl mentioned, so I will not be the data point I wanted to see.

When buying from StubHub I always use a cashback portal, and more often than not I make at least a portion of the payment via SH gift cards and/or SH Fan Codes. When getting the cashback I’ve NEVER gotten it on the full purchase price but rather only on the portion of the purchase that I actually paid for using a credit card.

Stubhub will report the ticket prices before fees regardless of gift cards used. It should work for you
