The Offer

- Amazon is offering $10 off when you purchase 2 of select items, shown at the link above.
List includes things like Bounty paper towels, Glad trash bags, Tide pods, and lots of kid stuff like Huggies and Enfamil.
Our Verdict
A number of household items here that most people use. You can also combine two items, e.g. Bounty and Tide, to trigger the discount. Personally, it’ll be 2 x Bounty for me, giving a $10 discount off roughly $33 which is pretty good. This deal works even for those without Prime.
Dead for me. “Promotion has ended.”
Still works for me
This also stacks with the ‘subscribe and save’ discount as well as coupons; I was able to get two Tide Pods for $25.94 after the combined discounts, which comes to $12.97 each. I’ll cancel the ‘subscribe and save’ subscription in a few days.
I have it, but the selection seems different from what you have mentioned (i.e. no Bounty).
It’s going unused b/c I can’t find anything I want.
I just bought 2 Downy beads for $14 minus my $10 amazon promo credits I end up paying $1.4
But the same bounty 8-count HUGE/Giant rolls are $10.49 at Target. Wouldn’t that deal end up being 2 bucks-ish cheaper than Amazon’s price even with the promotion?
I’m not surprised to hear that.
Not seeing this. Mine has them for 16.69, get $10 GC when you buy 2.
The 8 doubles or the 12 pack are 16.69. The 8 pack is 10.49. But it’s hard to tell with bounty huge rolls or double rolls. They have so many variations like toilet paper. Some people calculate down to the sheet.
I see 8 “double plus” (=20 regular) for $16.69, which is the same as what Amazon has (“2=5” on the package, “8 huge rolls” in the description) for the same price. Comes to $0.83/single roll before GC/discount, $0.58/single roll after GC/discount.
The ones for $10.69 are “single plus” (8=12) rolls. Comes to $0.89/single roll.
I calculate to the square meter to get past the difference in roll (and sheet!) sizes. Sounds extreme, but it ain’t that hard. Price minus discount/coupon, divide by square meters. Obviously only works if you stick with a single brand/variety, as absorbency etc. will differ between them. I’m usually okay buying at ~$0.35/sqm if I’m out, and look for <$0.30/sqm if stocking up.
Before you call me crazy – I probably spent more time writing this than all the time I've spent calculating or comparing prices for paper towels over the last 5 years.
George Would never call you crazy for that. I have my own quirks with that stuff to maximize savings. 🙂
Looks like a slickdeals affiliate link, not DOC
I usually find it hard to find good deals “sold by Amazon,” so I’ve been sitting on the Amex MR $30 off $60 offer for a while. This was a great opportunity to use it! (Yes, they do stack for $40 off.)
Gift card doesn’t count?
Most physical ones do, but it feels wrong to not get the best deal at the same time? Most GCs can be bought discounted – it’s not $30 off if I could’ve gotten the card for $5 off. At least this was the best publically available deal for most of these products.
I also may not earn MRs on GCs. Haven’t yet seen MRs not be issued, or be clawed back, for gift card purchases, but they reserve the right to…
And it’s not like I was in a rush, I had until the end of the year to use the $30 off $60.
this died quickly
Working as of 8pm EST. Ordered bounty and unstoppables.

“Promotion has ended
We’re sorry, but you can browse products from this promotion below.”
Targeted? or maybe expired… I didn’t see a promo code anywhere to try and force it at checkout either and not showing a discount with 2 qualifying items added to cart during checkout.
i see the same thing
I’ll update as expired. That’s unexpected.
Odd, I just had it work, a good half hour after you posted. So YMMV?
I just used it and it worked. Zip code dependent maybe?
Chuck Thanks for the repost, sevillada I wanted to confirm it’s working for me now too, so you should check again if you were still interested.
