The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Marriott has released a new promotion called ‘Unlock More’. Users get 2,000 bonus points when they stay twice between October 29th, 2019 and January 14th, 2020. After you reach this requirement you’ll unlock another offer.

The Fine Print

  • Must register by December 31st, 2019
  • Valid for stays October 29th, 2019 and January 14th, 2020

Our Verdict

This is a terrible promotion, 2,000 points is worth less than $10 and isn’t motivating anybody to move stays to Marriott. Yes you unlock another offer, but given you don’t know what that offer is until after you unlock it it’s kind of pointless. Still worth registering for.

Used this offer as I combined it with another offer from Marriott. And got the second offer – Complete one stay. Get 20,000 bonus points.
This seems awesome to me. I value Marriott @0,5c/p so it’s like $100 for 1 stay. Enough for me to actually create a new travel plan for the next weekend 😀
It’s also possible to combine this offer with code 6ME for free breakfast outside the US: https://www.marriott.com/specials/mesOffer.mi?marrOfferId=1348402&displayLink=true&aff=MARWW&affname=10l16343&co=WW&nt=PH

Just unlocked the second offer. Complete one more stay, receive 20,000 bonus points. Now that’s better…

Just unlocked the other offer. Same terms, but you get 4,000 bonus points after another 2 stays.

Luckily, I have some work trips coming up where I get to choose the hotel.

I have a couple of Sheraton stays the first week of January, so I’ll take this offer. These lame Marriott offers really make me miss the generous SPG promotions, though.

I am not worthy of earning 2,000 points it looks like. I would have taken that easy $20 since I have more than 2 stays with Marriott in the pipeline. I did get the promotion for the free 2 night awards, so maybe that disqualified me for this one.

This is only worthwhile if you were already planning for two separate stays at Marriott brands in the next several months… which, luckily I am. Thanks for the free $20.

I can never remember how this works: I have a stay that starts 10/27 with a checkout 10/30. Will that count, or does the stay have to begin after 10/29?

I never find Marriot promotions worthy compared to Hilton promotions.

“2,000 points is worth less than $10”

Did you mean the offer is worth less than $10 per stay? Surely you can extract more than 0.5cpp in value…

That said, the offer is still crap.

What do you value the highest value airline mile that could be converted to by bonvoy?

For instance if you value any airline mile @ 2cpp, bonvoy are effectively .0833CPP.

Even if you value airline miles at 1.6cpp you’d still be getting 0.533 CPP from Marriott points
