I filed with TT through Rapid Rewards Shopping, but the points were not added after 10 weeks. I contacted SW through their website, and the rep stated I did not meet the terms of the promotion, but did not specify how I did not (I really did!). However, she did add the 1000 points as a gesture of goodwill.
Successfully stacked fidelity $15 off, Southwest 1,000 points and Chase offer of $10 back. Click through fidelity. Then in a new tab click through southwest portal. Will show $15 off from fidelity and should track for 1,000 Southwest points. Used Chase freedom to purchase and got a chase offer for $10 back, Not bad!
Have not had problems with Turbotax until last year when it was a real mess. Early discussions on their boards (the only source of help) indicate that they still have not fixed those problems. Might be indeed time for me to switch back to H&R Block.
I managed to get the Fidelity discount ($55 for Premier online, no need to be a customer) and 1000 Southwest points to stack. I first went through Southwest portal, got the $69 price. Then I went through Fidelity, got the $55 price. I thought this would invalidate Southwest cashback but it’s tracking. Also, Chase/BofA have $10 off so that drops the price below $50 with tax (no state return though).
I’ve clicked through the link past 3 years for 1000 points, done the turbotax free file, haven’t received the points. First time I assumed I had messed up, now I realize they just dont pay out. EDIT: calwatch, I’ve used the IRS Free File doesn’t work for the points based on my experience.
After been sold , TurboTax became very suspicious, not recommend using TurboTax.
HRB is much safer and has Amex offer as well.
I wanted to be able to use HBR as it’s been my go to software for years, but TurboTax was the only software that I could find that definitively supported form 8911 (installing an EV charger at home).
I tried this two years ago with the proper version of Turbotax freefile. Never tracked or worked, even when I contacted customer service.
TurboTax is trash.

Credit Karma hasn’t failed me… yet.
Credit Karma Tax is moving to cashapp which I’m sure will be messy
