A survey has sent out to some Chase Hyatt cardholders asking for their opinion on potential changes to the card. It was a relatively standard survey with 10+ questions trying to gauge the interest of new benefits such as:
- Spa Credit
- Food and beverage credit
- Suite upgrade
- Stay/resort credit
- Airport lounge access
- Free dinner
It was also looking at how and where people acquired their card.
If Hyatt is putting some thought into perhaps offering a $450 annual fee card with a $300 credit and nice bells and whistles similar to the Amex Marriott card, I’d be all over it.
We would like them to switch from Chase bank to a better bank
Citi plz
Hell no! They need to stay with Chase. If they leave, I’d hope they at least remain a transfer partner.
I didn’t find it as much a ‘what changes to the current card’ as market research on what Hyatt members would look in signing up for a hotel credit card, what cards you hold, and where you would sign up for it.
Hyatt Explorist, no Hyatt CC.
So I received the email asking to take the survey at 1:23 PM MT. When I finally got home to take the Hyatt survey at 7:00 PM MT, I was informed it was closed and the fine print said they only wanted the first 500 participants. Not sure I’m too impressed with the survey now….
Uh oh. I was looking to get this card next, I have enough other high annual fee cards that include all of that similar stuff so that would be a turn off.
I would think they’d offer two cards. A personal and business or a low-end and a high-end personal card.
Premium card $595 with globalist status and no other added benefits
I wouldn’t be surprised if a hypothetical Hyatt premium card came with Explorist. Discoverist benefits would be too much to give away but Explorist + ~300 in credits + annual category 1-7 cert for $500 AF and you’ve got a deal.
Ehhhh… $450 and I’m in. $500 is a bit too much.
Hyatt should have high end premium card like Aspire or Brilliant. $450 af is fine if simply copy Aspire.
Aspire gives you top status though, there’s no way Hyatt or Marriott would do that, notice how it wasn’t even a topic in the survey. They’re all about nights.
Not a Hyatt cardholder, received the email. I am Globalist though
Spa credit – $0. F&B credit – 25% FV. Suite upgrade – if I’m Globalist then not much, but if not then maybe $20. Stay/resort credit – if only resort then 50% FV, if all Hyatt them 75% FV. Airport lounge access – $0. Free dinner – 25% of max.
I’m assuming this is for a new premium card offering. It’s disappointing that they didn’t ask about elite night credits. Marriott’s premium card gives 15, Hilton’s premium card gives top level outright, so if not 15 minimum then I’ll get this card for nothing more than first year SUB.
“Globalist” ha.. these names still get me.
Probably to make excuse to increase the AF.
This guy gets it.
