not sure where to post this and I have not seen this anywhere

If you have ffd of say 1000.89, the 0.89 will never be able to be used as their system cannot account for cents (according to Plastiq although it is shown in your account and yes presumably so that you can add to it – maybe..) and therefore you will only be able to use 1,000 dollars but get this even if you use 1,000 (meaning the payment amount is 1,000) the system will charge you another penny, so in addition to losing your 89 cents, you are also charged another penny.

Unfortunately, its not enough to fight about, but its still surprsing and disappointing that a company like Plastiq will mislead and take advanatge of their customers because at the end of the day who will complain about pennies?!!

Please check it out on your accounts as I hope I am wrong

Maybe they shouldn’t have alienated so many of us small business owners so that we never want to use their service again.

People have mentioned targets as being for unused accounts, but I saw November, December, and January. Curious what the model is, as I didn’t get an offer for Feb.

I got this latest email, but I only make Plastiq payments once a year in May/June (for insurance that doesn’t accept credit cards), and so this is of no use to me this month.

The subject line for this email on Monday 10 Feb was: “We’ll sweeten the deal for bill bay”.

I don’t get any of the good offers anymore, so I’ve unsubscribed from all emails – way too many anyway.

It seems to me that Plastiq is pressure testing the fee. They are trying to find out what is the max fee people would accept. Last year they tried 1% a few times, then 1.5% a few times, 1% became rare. I would predict if people happily take this 1.95% offer, 1.5% will also become rare.

Plastiq is testing. Give this a pass, otherwise you can forget about the 1% offers.
