Amazon Has Been Removed From Shopping Portals

Amazon has been removed from all shopping portals. Typically, they offer cashback/rewards on select categories, e.g. Amazon devices, clothing, etc. The change is presumably due to coronavirus as they focus on getting staple items out to shoppers, items which aren’t available on the portal, regardless.

The only thing still available on portals is subscriptions like Prime or Audible membership.

Amazon affiliate links are still working, here’s our Amazon shopping link. 😉

This is slowly going back to normal now and listed on a couple portals. I didn’t check the categories though… might only be for lawn gnomes and snow boots.

Hopefully it comes back once business starts returning to normal. I’ve gotten a lot from TCB from the 8-10% Amazon Devices category.

Do I have to use the specific ‘affiliate’ link above if wanting to support DoC site, or do you also benefit if I go to amazon via some other amazon link you have in a post.
For example, I opened the pay with points amex offer via your post on that deal yesterday and proceeded to buy something, does that count?

Amazon is still paying their affiliate commissions to iConsumer – though recall iConsumer does not pay a portion of the commissions back to the shopper – instead reinvests them to benefit the shares that you are awarded for shopping through them

Nothing I’ve bought from Amazon has ever been in a category that gives portal cashback anyway.

Bummer. On some higher-priced stuff (e.g., luggage) this was a good way to get cash back, esp. on items where the manufacturer fixes prices across all retailers.

Dont forget to use smile.amazon.com everyone. Free donations to charity of your choice.

This SHOULD work with affiliate links and portals (i believe).

You can install the Chrome extension “Always Smile” that automatically redirects http://www.amazon.com to smile.amazon.com. I’ve been using it for a while and it works seamlessly.

“Amazon Smile Redirect” seems to be the most popular

I’ve seen the same happening to Walmart Grocery. Until recently, you could get 450 United Points via MPX or $3 at Ibotta. Now it’s gone.

I think they all don’t need to pay to make people use them anymore. They have more than enough orders …

Yeah. Last week I wanted to submit a bunch of small walmart.com pickup orders to snag the current 1000 mile bonus on aadvantage eshopping. Merchant gone. I changed my mind with leaving the house anyway. Hope they’re back in the future.

Same here. Was looking to earn Aadvantage shopping miles for the current promo and Walmart is gone. Target is still there… for now.
