      • Upgrade Certificates or $200 Travel Vouchers with an original expiration date between March 1 and June 30, 2020, are extended – now, they can be booked and flown by Dec. 31, 2020. And, SkyMiles Members with Upgrade Certificates or $200 Travel Vouchers that expire after June 30, 2020, will receive an additional six months beyond the current expiration date.
      • SkyMiles Select members will receive a six-month extension to the Priority Boarding benefit and any unused drink vouchers.

Overall a great response by Delta. Obviously the elite status being extended is great, but small things like EQM being earned in 2020 carrying over is fantastic as well.

None of this is helpful for those of us who had award flights that Delta canceled. If I want my miles back I will need to pay the reinstatement fee.

Delta failed in pretty much every way possible for me. I’ve never been a big AA fan, but they came through when Delta left me stranded.

I’m sure it’s a bit greedy of me, but I had a flight scheduled for the following weekend to the one that’s coming up that would have gotten me status via the status match challenge. That flight has since been canceled. I hope I either am granted the status anyway (which would be a pipe dream I know) or at the very least, they allow me to do the status match again when this blows over.

Quick Edit: I did receive the email saying that status will be kept until the following year, but I didn’t see anything mentioned about the challenge.

While I appreciate their effort to help the customers, I found an article claiming that delta is forcing pilots tested positive to continue their work. Although I remain suspicious of its authenticity and trust Delta they would do the right thing, you may wanna take some EXTRA caution if you really have to go 30,000 feet in the air in Apr and May and Jun.

Really hope they can resume the Sea-Pvg flight in Jun, or I really have to find some alternatives tickets, which would be sooooooooooo expensive.

I see no reason why Delta would be forcing pilots to work, so many planes are grounded and there isnt much flight traffic now. Let alone someone who tested positive.

You are right to be suspicious of its authenticity. It’s fear mongering/corporate slander.

I got an email today from delta concerning a “reclaim my status” Gold challenge I initiated and would have completed if not for a canceled work trip on 3/13. They granted me the Gold status, right in line with the other decisions outlined above. I find it mighty decent of them. I didn’t want to call and bother them about it. Once this is all over I’ll try to fly Delta every time.

Hyatt and Delta are two truly customer-friendly businesses at the moment. Hope they survive and prosper.
