Our Verdict
The best pricing is the 200,000 mile deal, that works out to be $5,758.06 or ~1.8¢ per mile. Personally think that purchasing miles in general is usually a bad idea for the majority of people, even worse at the moment due to the uncertainty and inability to travel freely. American Airlines also sold miles in April for 1.5¢ per mile, so this isn’t even a particularly good deal.

LOL. AA is a joke
If we can short their miles, we’d all be billionaires.
If we can sell our AA miles at 1.8 cents/mile, we’d all be happy.
Wish I could sell my miles to them at this rate.
There aren’t enough 4 letter words for me to describe what I want to tell AA to do with this “deal”.
Be Patriots. Buy american miles so they can survive. Give them your money.
Be real patriots and buy their miles at 1.8 cents/mile when they will devalue them to 1 cent/mile or less.
I don’t see how supporting an industry that operates on the notion that taxpayers will ultimately bail them out is being patriotic. AA and the rest of its buddies are thieves. They squandered $50 billion in profits to buy back their stocks to ultimately boost stock prices and their compensation. But I guess the government is just as complicit anfmd guilty for allowing this to happen.
And then they shutdown your account …good deal (for them)
