Chase & Southwest are offering some credit cardholders a 30% bonus on points when they have a certain amount of points post to your Rapid Rewards account between 8/1/20 and 10/31/20. Here is the only variation of this offer I’ve seen so far:
- Receive a 30% bonus when you have at least 6,000 points post to your account between 8/1/20 and 10/31/20 under the category ‘Credit Card’. Up to a maximum of 25,000 points.
The Fine Print
- Points count towards companion pass
- Bonus points earned from Chase on a new credit card promotion will not be eligible for the 30% bonus. Last year this was included but sign up bonuses still worked.
Our Verdict
We’ve seen similar offers for 25% and 15% before.

Is anyone else concerned that this promotion has disappeared from our online account, and been replaced with a new one running through 01/31/2021?
Yes, and I still have not received my points for this offer which was at 6000 miles and not dollars. Both Southwest and Chase claim ignorance, even when showing screenshot above. Should be getting around 7500 miles and completely adjusted my spend from the promo.
FYI I did not get a pop-up or see it after clicking Special Offers after logging in, but found it under My Account → My Rapid Rewards → Promotions.
(Now to figure out these secure messages… I am sure they told me via secure message I could match my original 50k signup bonus to the 75k bonus in February, which I met… but I put it off and now there is no secure message to respond to!)

Yep, it’s not under special offers, those are about flights/hotels/packages… the RR bonuses are always under the promotions bit.
I do not see any promotions tab under Rapid Rewards. It just listed my RR#, points, climbing towards A-list, and climbing towards Companion Pass.
The tabs are on the left, not at the top. You have to scroll down to see all of them.
The tabs are Snapshot, Manage Account, Promotions, and Recent Activity.
I got the promotion but already have the companion pass, wife is 8,000 away and didn’t get the promotion. Laid off, job is up in the air, travel restrictions, etc, I’m not sure it’s even worth it.
I’d say go for it if you have time right now. Worst comes to worst you cash out SWA when they bring GC redemptions back. Hopefully things work out with your job and you’re able to use the CP in 2021!
