Probably better to wait on Black Friday MB pro deals.

Costco recently has 50% off AppleCare. So they are good pair

Given Apple’s track record with compatibility I don’t see how anyone could justify buying Intel chipped Macs right now. You’re probably better off waiting for Apple Silicon. But as always, thank you for sharing the deal.

Similar compatibility caveats will also apply to the ARM based Macs for the first few years.

People don’t buy laptops expecting to use them heavily for the next 20 years or pass them down as heirlooms either.

So good deals on Intel based Macs are still solid, and will work well for a few years like laptops are expected to.

P.S. If you are one of the selected few that enjoy using the same Mac for a decade or more, Apple have you covered as well, it will be marked as ‘vintage’ with no more updates or compatibility just like old IOS devices (which uses? ARM:)).

Compatibility? Apple Intel Macs have a solid user and install base for many years because silicon macs are on the horizon does not mean they suddenly become obsolete. In fact, Apple will be selling Intel and SIlicon macs side by side for at least the next 2 years. The inverse should be the case – you should be more weary of buying silicon macs especially the 1st generation

Still better off waiting until Apple Silicon version is release since this one will be on sale for like $549 probably 🙂
