I also get an email about citi double cash now being contactless and world elite.. I thought it already was
Some DC cards are World Elite, some are not (mine falls in the latter category). I am not sure why this is the case. Mine was a recent product change from a prior AA Platinum card, so it was contactless enabled when I got it.
Is Citi Prestige considered World elite?
Yes
In the offer section, you say the second part of the promo is “take an additional 5 rides in a calendar month.” Reading the terms, I think it is actually 5 rides total. Take 3 rides in a month, get $5. Take 2 more rides (total of “five (5) Eligible Rides in a calendar month”), get another $10.
Let me update
Hooray. I just don’t get why ride-sharing and food delivery credits are the credit card benefits du-jour. I suspect that a significant number of cardholders own their own vehicles and drive themselves everywhere, and the markups on food delivery services essentially cancel out the credits offered by card issuers. Give us something that everyone can use!
Grubhub, Doordash, and UberEats credit when used for pickup is as good as a broad dining credit for most of the population, don’t you think?
There are no mark-ups got pickup.
There are markups. Look at a restaurant which has its own website and compare the prices on its website with any of the food delivery and yiu will find 10-15% markup. I found on few restaurants when compared with DoorDash. Same with instacart, the grocery prices on instacart are higher than the stores.
No delivery charge for pickup, but like someone else here said, check the restaurant’s own website, and compare it to the Doordash/GrubHub prices. I’ve found their prices to typically be a couple bucks higher.
At some restaurants, the food/beverage prices are higher when ordered via a third party delivery service, in addition to there being a delivery fee. Those higher food/beverage prices apply even when the delivery fee is waived or is skipped it by picking up the food.
Lyft prices are often higher than Uber’s, at least in my area. This offer just makes the prices about the same.
The opposite is true in my area.
seems to depend on the time – i check both, prices vary
combines well with freedom flex with 5% back. But CSR with lyft pink and 10% back is still the best option for lyft.
Yes, I believe the terms of the complimentary Lyft Pink membership state you must pay with your CSR in order to receive the Pink discount, so there does not appear to be a way to combine the Mastercard perk with the CSR Lyft Pink membership.
Correct. You can use credits for part of the cost, but at least some of the ride has to be paid for with the CSR to get Lyft Pink benefits.
