Our Verdict
This stacks with the $200 in Business Platinum credits. Amex won’t let you double-take on this as they’ve clawed back the double-take in the past, so be sure to spend $222 so that there’s $200 charge left and you can hopefully get the full $100 credit. Go through a shopping portal as well.
Anyone’s credit post yet?
20% + 2 offers on my BBP. Bought Alienware laptop on Dell consumer site, they had to “build” it for a week or so, then the charge posted one week ago today, on June 22, as Dell US computer sales.
No credits have posted subsequently. Is a week sufficient time to post, am I hosed? Or just impatient?
I’ve had the credits post right away and post 10 days later with the Dell offer. Amex offers are weird, Chase offers are more so. You can usually find out a day or so early by looking under the savings tab (web browser). I see the offer redeemed there before it posts.
Celia, you rock. Checked your savings tab tip and see the $153. You did nothing less than carve me out a little peace of mind this weekend. God bless you friend.
Rakuten has 10% cb now. If my total charge after tax is 220, will it be able to double dip the 200 dell credit and 10% dell on Amex offer?
I just got the Amex Business Platinum recently. I screwed up a bit, I made my Dell purchase and then, about 8 hours later, activated the Dell $200 benefit in my account. The Dell purchase is still pending.
Do you think it will still credit? (since the charge won’t post final until after I activated it?)
If I had to guess – I’ll say you will get the credit. You can also cancel and reorder, I suppose.
I literally can’t find anything to buy from Dell. I keep looking…
Can anyone explain/share some dp on how this actually works? I thought you had to follow the dell.com/amex link so how are you able to use something like Rakuten as well? I have never used this promo from Dell and since it might be a large purchase I wanted to make sure I do it right.
I just ignored what amex offer say and followed Rakuten cashback deal and paid with amex platinum, able to see successful redemption of amex offer email and Rakuten also tracked the cash back correctly hopefully my platinum credit also post. Also I had save dell extra point offer in amex that also got tracked because I got separate email for that too.
Wonder did you get your amex credits?
Offer says only buy from here is valid, how to stack this with Rakuten and platinum credit
dell.com/smallbusiness
All 5 biz cards don’t have it. Maybe I’ll see it soon…
Only got 10 percent
Same.
same. lame.
Stacks with 15% back via Rakuten today/tomorrow.https://www.rakuten.com/delltechnologies.com?query=dell&position=1&type=suggest&store=9
Is it the best cashback? Did we ever see 20% cashback on dell?
TCB is 16% but only on the main site, Rakuten has 15% on the outlet too. 16% is tied for the highest over the past year.
Bought Bose headphones @ 270. Netted me $78 in savings after RAKUTEN, Amex Offer, and Dell Savings Rewards.
Mind sharing the steps you took? I haven’t done this one before and I’m confused how you could stack when I thought you had to go through the dell/amex link?
10% for me this time on my platinum. Thank you!
