[YMMV] American Express Platinum 125,000 Points + 10x Grocery/Gas For 6 Months

You’ve probably all seen our post about the terrific American Express Platinum signup offer of 100,000 points + 10x on grocery and gas for 6 months (up to $15,000 in spend).

We won’t rehash it all here again, just to add one little nugget: there are sporadic reports of those who are getting an increased version of this offer with 125,000 + 10x. Both the 100,000 and 125,000 offers have the same $5,000 in 6 months spend requirement. Uscreditcardguide reports that some are seeing this in their prequalified offers, and I see now in the Frequentmiler comments someone who apparently saw it even without prequal (?).

We’ve reported in the past about the highly targeted 125,000 prequalified offer, and apparently that offer now has the 10x grocery/gas bonus attached to it as well. Again, you’re unlikely to get the offer, but it’s good to know it exists and can’t hurt to check your prequalified offers to see.
