Our Verdict
Chipotle will probably sell out quickly.
I went through RMN and $5 CB is pending on the BBB GC alone. I had other GCs as well in the order but appears the RN CB is for all the “Deals” which is why it is pending for the BBB though it is a GC!
Edit: Looks like other GC purchases tracked as well. Not sure if I will get paid, but if you are buying GCs at BB going through RMN for now if a good option. All were buy online ship to home GCs.
William Charles There are per household limits for this deal that are not clearly stated in the T&Cs. I was buying the BBB cards one at a time, and my fourth order was cancelled for exceeding the (previously unannounced) purchase limit. Tried to use my separate business account — cancelled. Spouse’s account – cancelled. So keep this in mind.

Stacks with Amex Offer $25 back on $250 (e-gift cards excluded, other terms apply).
Terms state that the $10 “Best Buy promotional e-gift cards” you get as part of this offer “are NOT the same as Cash Star Best Buy e-Gift Cards.” https://www.bestbuy.com/site/gift-card-help/e-gift-card-terms/pcmcat1508791434187.c?id=pcmcat1508791434187
Does anyone have any clue what this means?
Federal/state compliance.. Example in CA, <$10 merchant e-gift cards will be redeemable in cash for their cash value and cannot contain an expiration date or dormancy fee. However, rule does not apply to <$10 "promotional" e-gift cards, which are not refundable or returnable for cash and do expire. Note that CA's <$10 gift card cash redemption rule also does not apply to Happy Cards, Everywhere Visas, and other multi-merchant gift cards with an expiration date printed on the card. Also <$5 merchant gift cards may be redeemable for cash in CO, MA, ME, MT, NJ, OR, PR, and WA. https://www.ncsl.org/research/financial-services-and-commerce/gift-cards-and-certificates-statutes-and-legis.aspx
Superman Thank you. I thought that’s what they might be trying to do.
Personally, I don’t read Ca. Civ. Code sec. 1749.5 to permit any exceptions to the <$10 cash redemption rule. The promotional gift card provision (sec. 1749.5(d)(1)) deals with expiration dates, and, in any event, applies only to cards where there has not been "any money or other thing of value being given in exchange for the gift certificate by the consumer" — which is not the case here because you are paying $50 to get the $10 card as a discount. Target, for example, cashes out promotional gift cards in California with no issue.
However, life's too short to fight with store clerks about this kind of stuff.
I didn’t get one, Netflix card removed from list. From past personal experiences, I got a free $5 TGC for buying stuff at Target which is same as regular TGC and just got a free $15 Lowe’s eGC for my purchase at Lowe’s which is same as regular Lowe’s GC. However, 30 or 60 days after paying $500 to get a $10 Best Buy rewards card as a discount, it was no longer redeemable.
Best Buy has different gift card agreements, T&Cs, and legal terms because Best Buy has more lawyers than we do.
My guess is it’s because BBY is processing the promotional gift card directly. They use cash star for their online orders of their own gift cards, for some reason, which is why you can’t buy BBY gift cards online for the Amex offer.
