Our Verdict
Discover & Citi have run similar deals in the past, as has American Express (although that required a $25 spend).

Anyone else have this offer disappear from their account? I added in July, was looking to use it this month but it has disappeared. I’m certain I didn’t use it – its just gone, like the restaurant credit on my hilton card.
Did you ever figure this out? Same thing happened to me just now.

Are there any gas stations in California or Oregon where this can be used? I downloaded the app and tried to use the locate station in the app but it didn’t find anything. I’m visiting California for the next month and curious if there are any BP or Amoco stations here?
BPme App is not good nor customer service (calling or emailing). It took me about 3 months for my account to get fixed. Not sure if it was fixed by the customer service or updating the app (some versions work flawlessly, some versions not so much). If it’s limited time stuff, do it ASAP. Your problem may get resolved before your offer expires.
For record, I added Amex card with offer to BPme app AND I also experienced the errors that appear to have precluded in-app pump access. The app supplied the message:
“Sorry, we’re having some technical issues. Please try again or swipe a card linked to BPme Rewards.”
Based on that logic that the app requested my swipe AND that the in-app rewards with associated card were present afterwards, I strong-armed Amex customer support to supply a good-will credit of $10. They had opened an investigation and never reported their findings (declining my credit), so I followed up to actually get it. Earlier, I also opened a ticket with [email protected] (800-333-3991) to report the errors in detail. They most likely did nothing with that.
This was certainly both a waste of time & creator of distrust / ill will. I do credit Amex for bending the knee a little, but they scolded me as they were doing it. This was a complete fail on both BPme & Amex.
This happened to me as well. Followed the instructions in the app to swipe the card. Did not receive the credit. Called AMEX, was told I did not do what the terms said. . Huge waste of time
Sounds like a lot of work and being mean to customer support who don’t control the offers for $10
With me I think it needed my location to be the BP sign over by the entrance, 1/4 mile away where the actual pumps were. So at that location it recognized I was at a station, but then my phone app couldn’t talk to the pump since I obviously was not right next to the pump. So maybe only use if you see a small station (not a bug, rural station) where it can’t get your location wrong.
Similar things happened to me today. I tried four pumps at a BP station. All of them came with an error of activating the pump and requested me to swipe the card. I thought it was the problem of that BP gas station and planned to try another BP station next time. However, after seeing your comments, I realized this offer is a waste of time and probably going to toss it into the trash can.
The BPMe app keeps crashing on my android phone after the recent update. I guess I won’t be able to redeem this offer.
I guess you can combine it with this swagbucks offer as well.

“Log in not complete” then they tell you call, and then they tell you to expect a long wait time. Guessing BP marketing didn’t tell their app developer they were doing a big Amex promo.
The app was updated yesterday (March 22) and now (finally!) accepted my AmEx credit card.
I called BP and they said it’s a known issue and you can’t load the AmEx card to the BPme app. Little tough to get the credit when you can’t even load the card!
I keep getting “There was a problem adding your card, please try again” when I tried to add my amex card. Anyone also get this? Any suggestions? Thanks.
Yes, same thing. So annoying.
