Our Verdict
It’s just $150 in spend, but still could be a nice little bonus. I didn’t get any notification on this offer yet, but was able to activate it at the link above on my Freedom cards. If you use the generic bonus activation link it’ll work on all versions of the Freedom card, including the Freedom, Freedom Flex, Freedom Unlimited, and Freedom Student. This offer is separate from the regular 5% categories.

Just got an email from Chase about this promo (subject “Introducing Freedom’s Month of More!”). It was all, “hurry, limited time offer, starts 2/1” … but they waited until 2/9 to send it?
Of course they want to make us feel special but not to actually use it heheh.
wow this is the first time i have ever gotten once of these Chase ‘activate’ offers to ever work for me! going to Costco to get some gas, and will use Freedom instead of Costco Visa!!!!
Does it stack at sams cub gas station ( with Q1 category ) ?

Apart from learning about this offer through Doctor of Credit, how / would I have normally been notified of this promotion? This the first of me hearing about it. Is there a page on their site or my account profile to find these offers normally?
After activating this on my Freedoms I decided to test out my AARP card to see what would happen. I went through the “Activate here for all Freedom versions” link.
I received an even better offer (see below). The last 4 digits of my card and my 1st name were mentioned so it does not appear to be a mistake. You might want to make a post about this as I’m sure others have the AARP card.

It’s actually worth $11.25 per Freedom Card (of which many of us have multiples) when redeemed on CSR PYB.
What do you think the chances of double dipping Costco warehouse 5% and this promo at Costco gas?
Zero. Costco Gas doesn’t code as a wholesale/warehouse club purchase.
Do you think buying gift cards at gas stations will count. I thought I heard sometimes they code differently.
Works locally at an Exxon “On The Run” station here as well as Wawa and Sheetz on the East Coast, any purchase at a Wawa/Sheetz that sells gas will code as fuel, but many areas only let you buy Wawa GCs with a credit card, any other 3rd party gift cards they only let you use debit.
I’ll probably just buy $150 in Wawa GCs and load them into their app. Easiest way to pay for things there, IMO.
