Our Verdict
They also offer a free doughnut every day during the rest of 2021 for those with COVID vaccination proof; this coffee+doughnut deal is a freebie for everyone. There’s also a third offer showing on the landing page to get a dozen doughnuts for $1 when buying a dozen at full price on Saturdays and Sundays 3/27/2021 – 5/23/2021.
Hat tip to reader Kai
Thought they went out of business 15 years ago, but they had a ton of locations in Mexico.
Stopped in our local KK and took advantage of the offer. Two observations…
1 – Awesome deal. Good donut and good coffee. How can you complain, they are FREE!!! Me and my wife both got a donut and coffee.
2 – The guy working the window didn’t seem too happy about giving out free stuff. Said his location gives out about 1000 free donuts a week. They are a franchise location and said coporate is NOT reimbursing the cost. He said this will have a very negative effect on his bottom line. He said it’s a win win for corporate. Good PR (by most sane people), and franchise is forced to buy product from corporate with no reimbursment. After the conversation I felt a little weird getting our freebies…not sure if I’ll do it again…unfortunatly.
mmmmmm donut.
Thanks for sharing. Yeah, after reading this, I wonder how much free spit will be served with free coffee and donuts. My guess is a lot more than usual.
Fortunately, with 1000 free coffees, the amount of spit should get split up between all the coffees. Hopefully the hot liquid of the water will kill off any germs. I highly doubt covid-19 germs will dissolve though so better to have vaccine to get this deal.
Then, why not buy some stuff from there?
See – all the Goldbelly whiners only had to wait a day for the free food bonanza to be posted!
Patience whiners.

Thank you for properly using a semicolon and not a comma.

oh god a grammer nazi..just what we need…
Wish they would deliver. Esp the Oreo ones
Does this stack with the vaccination card free donut?
I went after work, no line. Looks like the coffee is from coffee bean?
Yup. The house blend isn’t bad. I don’t care for the doughnuts.
Drove past a location earlier today and it was like they were giving away the store, it was packed.
KK will basically be a soup kitchen on Mondays for the next two months. Free donuts and coffee with no strings attached tend to draw, ahem, a certain crowd.
Those who may need and appreciate it most? Bigly Bad!
KK has life-sustaining coffee? I had no idea donuts were an essential food group!
They are in America!
So completely free, or pay sales tax of original price?
I can’t think of a time I’ve seen a store charge sales tax on a promotional free item?
The closest I’ve seen is from groupon / voucher places. Sales tax is technically due in that case since you are paying, just the wrong amount tends to be charged.
The sales tax KK collects on these non sales will not go to the city/state as the tax is only paid in on the gross amount of taxable sales. No sale amount, no tax due to Uncle Sam so guess KK just feels the need to pocket at least a few pennies off the deal. A few pennies for a coffee and a donut is not bad.
Wow – you take the cake for cheapskate comment!
I may try this one. Thank you! (I just need the coffee.) 🙂 That’s cool of KK.
