Hawaiian Airlines sent out an email today with the news that their loyalty program miles no longer expire.
I am writing today to announce an important change to our HawaiianMiles program. Effective immediately, your HawaiianMiles will never expire. The miles you earn flying with us, spending on your Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite Mastercard®, or shopping with our amazing network of merchant partners, are yours to keep forever, and save toward travel or other great rewards.

Too little too late…
who’s left with expiring? American. Alaska
No expire – Southwest, United, Delta, Hawaiian
Hotels – all have expiration dates?
Also curious about this.
I wish airlines who expire miles would give you the ability to find out when your miles expire instead of us trying to find out when the last activity was in our accounts and then trying to find out if that particular mile earning activity extends the expiration of your miles.
some do
Virgin Atlantic also doesn’t expire.
Alaska and Hyatt are the only ones without a no-fee card you can use to keep points alive easily. Transferring UR to Hyatt isn’t a bad way to keep them alive. No decent option for Alaska. You have to shop and hope it tracks.
For Alaska, book a low cost award tix, and cancel right away to generate the activity. $5.60 will also be refunded if canceled within 24 hrs.
Asia miles should learn from it, not setting up a cut off time for some miles.
hello. japan airlines miles and ana miles need to learn from this too.
While it’s a nice gesture, it’s also not one that is difficult to reverse.
