Safeway recently switched their gift card rack from Blackhawk Network (BHN) to InComm. BHN also issues the popular Happy gift cards (gift cards that can be used across multiple brands) and Safeway frequently ran promotions on these Happy gift cards. It looks like InComm has launched a Happy Cards competitor called ‘Go Cards’. Some of the cards are as follows:

- Go Have Fun
- Go Eat
- Go Enjoy
- Go Shop
Go Shop has Lowe’s & Bed Bath & Beyond which is probably the most interesting (and not listed on the Go site but carried by Safeway). Will be interesting to see what if any promotions Safeway/InComm run on these cards.

It is rather strange and very disappointing. There have been no Visa/MC GC promotions for the last 3+ months, wonder if there will be any in the future.

Which flavor was working?
Not in my neck-o-the-woods. Used to be able to buy promo VGCs (and/or Discover quarterly) and swipe to money order without leaving the store. Boo to the change.
What do people do with the happy cards at Lowes?
Organic spend I’m assuming. Homeowners have neverending expenses in maintaining the house. I know I do. You do have to be a little careful since some of Lowes prices are inflated, but I’ve also found many items where Lowes pricing is competitive.
I’m also military so the discount I get from these cards stacks with the 10% military discount.
