Is anyone able to reach the Happy Student page? I just get a broken link.
Getting this too :(! I’m on the phone with Amazon right now to see what’s up with this. I just get the Sorry page with an Amazon Dog.
Gabe It appears that Amazon IT deleted the product listing for Happy Student in the process of setting up this promotion. But it’s weird that it’s taking them so long to fix something so simple. The good news, I guess, is that the promotion will not expire for a while since nobody can buy the darn card.
Hi, RM RM :)! During my call with Amazon last night (when I FINALLY got in touch with a rep that understood the issue), she said that she will file a ticket to Amazon IT to fix it or at least look at it.
I’ve been trying to buy it in the last 20+ hours but just kept on encountering the now infamous “Sorry…Amazon Dog” page. Surprised it’s still not fixed.
But yeah, for as long as we can eventually do the promo, I’m fine waiting :)!
PS: It was insane (and kind of sad) the first 2 reps I spoke with who could not understand what I was trying to tell them. They kept on thinking I already bought the card and was trying to get promo credit for it. They kept on saying they could not see the order or the card that I ordered. But of course there is no order because I could not even buy the card I was telling them I could not buy! lolsad! (I guess I’m just ranting now, lol)
Thanks, DoC! Scored one each for P1 & P2 Amazon accounts 🙂
Never used Airbnb GCs- Can we combine multiple GCs for a single booking?
Yes, you can load them into your acct like Amazon. But I believe you can’t use GCs for stays over a certain duration
You can use multiple, but gift cards can only be used while making the initial reservation. If you pay part at the reservation time and the rest later then the second payment won’t allow a gift card to be used.
Not stacking with MR points offer
Yes did not stack for me either
Won’t stack if the offer requires use of a coupon code
Ah, that makes sense
Any gotchas with buying AirBnb GCs? Do you just load them into your account and they can sit there indefinitely?
OyVey Correct.
If you have a bad experience, you lose the protection that a CC offers. I’ve read some horror stories.
The big gotcha is that you can’t use gift credit to extend existing bookings, even if you paid for the entire booking with GC credit.
I didn’t realize extending a booking was even a thing. I’ve always booked for a set number of days.
Same. Good to know but extremely case-specific
I assume this is a “limit 1 per customer” deal?
Airbnb promo code only worked one time for me. I bought Home Chef $50 x 3 without any problems. I haven’t tried to get a 4th one.
Only worked once for me. Tried different email address, different payment method, no good – second try blocked.
6 am PST? You’d think a West Coast company would be sensitive to time zone differences.
ever heard of the early bird gets the worm?
I’m an early worm… dammit
Yes, and I did. But still.
No. I don’t think anyone has heard that before. Please explain. Thanks for your help!
