Point.me is a new search tool (formerly called JuicyMiles) that has officially launched today. Point.me covers 30+ loyalty programs and 100+ airlines. I personally hate searching for award inventory and redeeming miles is my least favorite part of this hobby so anything that makes that easier is a win in my opinion.
Pricing is as follows:
- Starter pass: 24 hours standard access for $5 (free with code: FREQUENTMILER or OMAAT)
- Standard plan: $129 annually or $12 a month
- Premium Plan: $260 annually (no monthly bill option)
- Full service booking: $200 per passenger
- Elite status help (mileage runs): $200 per passenger
American Express cardholders were also offered a limited free trial, but those accounts are restricted in that it’ll only show airlines that American Express transfer to. Even though I hate searching for award inventory there is no way I’d pay $200 per passenger, but the 24 hour access for $5 I’d happily pay if the tool works as well as advertised. The site is basically unusable at the moment due to the high volume or searches currently being performed, but I’ll be sure to give it a go next time I need to book something. Feel free to share your own experiences in the comments below.
Already used it 3 times using $5/day pass.
Now, I am wondering if I should just buy it.
Does anyone have yearly membership that I can borrow for a price?
Is there a new code to try this service?
Was planning a trip. So would be helpful to see how does this one route my flights, and at what price.
Starter pass should say 24 hour not just 24. Definitely read this as 24 months at first…
Fixed
Tried some searches with the free trial and it does a very extensive search that can take several minutes or more. Very useful for general destination searches, like a country or region.
It’s pretty cool that DoC doesn’t mind posting other bloggers’ referral codes.
TPG out of business?
We can only hope
Lol DoC put wrong info and didn’t bother to put a hat tip for FM. This was not formerly called Juicy Miles, that’s a different service that does the same thing.
OMaaT posted before FM and I put both of their codes in the post. Adam runs Point.me and he formerly ran JuicyMiles and this is basically an updated version. I generally don’t do hat tips for things like this, as the original posters didn’t find this they received a press release.
Shut up Tom Brady
Someone please enable thumbs down feature just for this comment. You can turn it off again after I’m done.
I’ve used this for the last year. Works pretty great.
How much did you save?
Instead of searching specific routes, Allow searching with a specific date, but any destination, similar to Kayak explore. Let me put in departure airport and date, and show me all destinations with award availability that day. Could filter by continent and class of travel.
EX: I want to go from Chicago to anywhere in Europe on June 5th, show me all destinations with business class awards that day.
I usually have specific destinations with only 2-3 airlines flying the the origin-destination, so I do a search on each airline for the best redemption options. My guess would be that this point.me can save some time to individual searches through each airline? How reliable is it for finding the best redemption options?
Very interesting, hope it can be better than expertflyer or other tools currently out there.
