Our Verdict
This card was pulled when American Airlines announced changes to elite status, including the introduction of Loyalty Points. Now that those changes have been introduced this card has made a return. This is an OK offer, but we’ve seen it be as high as 80,000 miles with a higher spend requirement before. I’d recommend waiting for a bigger offer to return unless you have a short term need for American Airline miles.

I forgot the add my employee at the time of application for the extra 10k points. Can I still do that after I receive the card?
Yes, per the T&C:
You will also earn an additional one-time 10,000 bonus AAdvantage® miles after at least one employee is added to the Account at the time of the application or within the first 30 days of the Account open date, and a purchase is made with the employee card on the Account within the first 90 days of the Account open date

Opened in 2019, closed at one year anniversary in 2020. App’d today and got the 10 day message. Bummed to not get instant approval. I did include my AA number on the app, maybe that was a mistake. Assume they’ll contact me soon, will update outcome.

I called recon this afternoon. Just had basic questions about business and income. Approved in 10 minutes. Said they couldn’t expedite, though, which is annoying.

Can you have multiples of this card with a sole prop? or do you need to cancel first then apply? Also do you need to wait between cancelling and applying again? and can you cancel your previous cars before a year? or do you need to wait for the annual fee to post and then cancel to not have points clawed back
