Anyone know if it is mandatory to use app to get the $5 back? What about if I just swipe Amex card at the terminal without using app? Anyone tried?
I got gas three times from 2 different locations. First two times from the same location worked. Transaction showed as Exxonmobile SP Outside. However, the 3rd time from a different location didn’t work. Transaction showed as Exxonmobile CAT Outside. All regular #87. Kinda weird.

I made a $31.xx purchase of Supreme through the app and received the $5 for purchasing $30 and $5 for purchasing $25 of Supreme through the app. For me the offers stacked.
I found the app still not working yesterday with Apple Pay. Is anyone able to use this offer?
I find the mobile app to be problematic, never works when authorizing a payment, repeatedy indicating an error. For the current $25-$5 promo I’ve had to use the physical card as a result.
Same here. I called customer service and was told it’s the app, not just my account. Thanks for confirming this. However, this one requires a working app. Hope this means they fixed the app.
If you sign up for a new Rewards account you can get $5 in points after your first purchase too – so $5 Amex Offer credit, then $5 towards gas later. Not a bad deal.
Where is this $5 sign up bonus? Are you referring to linking an AARP member number to Exxon Mobile Rewards?
Seems like can be stacked with previous AMEX offer $25 -$5 before end of August.

Totally forgot there’s premium Mobil offer and added this offer to the wrong card.
Yes got the Exxon/Mobil on all four of my Amex cards. Will be using it on the Amex Blue Cash. Also, have the Sunoco offer too!
