Our Verdict
Card doesn’t seem great for keeping long term, you don’t get a lot of benefits for a $250 annual fee. The sign up bonus is also lackluster and I’d recommend waiting for a better bonus to come along.
How long is it been taking people to get the 15 night elite credit bonus?
I think you misplaced the “can’t get the bonus” language in both new cards. You put the Amex language in the Chase card and vice-versa.
Looks like the offer terms are more restrictive than the Boundless card. For this one, it doesn’t appear you can hold the Brilliant card; whereas, for the Boundless card, as long as you did not get the Brilliant bonus within the last 24 months, you can get it here.
William Charles In the earnings section you have “Earn X points for every $1 spent on the first $15,000 in combined purchases each year on grocery stores and dining”
Should be 4x. The same omission is in the Amex version of the card as well.
Fixed ty
Damn. I don’t even have this card and I feel like I just got Bonvoyed.
We’re not just spectators, when we’ve experienced their games first hand before.
Do you have other examples of getting Bonvoyed in the past for those who are new to the ways of Marriott? 😛
Hilarious comment take my upvote
I love how both new cards plus the refreshed Brilliant are equally trash
The bonus isnt even two nights at the coastal place we like.
So for $250 a year you have to EARN the free night? What a scam
Better than the UK, for a card that costs £75/year:
Receive one free night after you spend £25,000 in an anniversary year, redeemable for a one-night stay (redemption level at or under 25,000 points) at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy. Certain hotels have resort fees.

Yeah I’m gonna keep my Boundless – not even a free night at any level for a $250 card? Even if the dynamic point system means the 35K certificate is just good for a SpringHill Suites or Residence Inn, that’s still better than what the Bountiful has to offer. Marriott Gold Elite status is worthless.
Free $250 for Chase and Marriott.
