The Offer
Check your AmEx Offers for the following deal:
- Get 10% back as a statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card when you pay your wireless bill directly with a US wireless service provider by 12/31/2022. Limit of $30 back in total statement credits.
- Others are getting $15 off $115, can be done twice
Our Verdict
10% back is okay. The $15/$115 offer is a little better. This deal also might be able to stack nicely with the $50/$100 T-Mobile offer if you get both saved on the same card.
A lot of people value their 5x Ultimate Rewards points from the Chase INK card near 10% as well which makes these deals less exciting.
There’s a similar 10% Amex Offer on streaming services.

I am with Xfinity Mobile and has a monthly charge about $21. But Xfinity Mobile doesn’t allow me to overpay my monthly due. Anyone know if there is a workaround? Thanks.
I am also in the same situation. I have both 10% cable offer and $30 credit on wireless bill offers. Both xfinity internet and xfinity mobile payments triggered 10% cable offer. So I gave a try over paying xfinity internet hoping it triggers wireless offer too, but I was denied the credit.
I got the 15/115 that can be done twice. Anybody know if I can do one payment of $230 to get the full $30. I seem to recall trying to make an additional payment on T-Mobile (i think that’s what site it was) but it wouldn’t let me because I had no balance. It did let me overpay when I had a balance though.
I chatted with Amex, they said one payment of 230+ should get $30 credit. I didn’t try personally as Xfinity Mobile doesn’t let me over pay my account. I can only pay the balance due or less than the balance due.
I ended up doing a single $115 to make sure it worked. It took 7 days to get the $15 credit. I may have been wrong about T-Mobile not letting me pay without a balance. I logged in and started to make another payment and it didn’t seem to hold me up anywhere. I didn’t actually hit submit so can’t say for sure, but I think I might have confused it with another bill.
I received 10% / $30 on Platinum. It’s worth it for a month and then back to Ink.
Family members have two different offers, one has this offer, the other one got 10 off 75(twice). Only 2 out of 15 accounts got this for some reason.
How best to use this when your Verizon plan has the Autopay discount that requires a debit card or bank draft?
Pre-pay for your next bill?
buy verizon gift cards from in your login pretty sure it codes the same and will trigger the offer.
on none of 5+4 cards across me and P2 🙁
$15 off $115+, two times on mine and P2’s BCP!
Updated that that offer can be done twice
Any DP for Google FI early payment? I was able to get the credit months ago where the offer was specific for Google FI.
Checking the transaction , it was coded as : Additional Information TELECOM SERVICE , so I am hesitant to try it now
It worked in the past. Sometimes. Anyway, I just prepaid and will report back 🙂
How do you prepay Fi?
Do you have an update? What did it code as? Did you get the email?
to be the DP, I prepaid FI and it is categorized as “TELECOM SERVICE”. No credit yet, but will see what happens.
found DP frequentmiler https://frequentmiler.com/amex-platinum-credits-can-be-used-for-google-fi-but-maybe-in-an-unexpected-way/
Might stack with the “Save on your Cable and Internet Bill. Spend $75 or more, get $5 back, up to 3 times (total of $15)” I’m not sure if “ATT*BILL PAYMENT” (for my Internet) will trigger both.
If anyone currently has ATT wireless how is the transaction posted?
My wireless posts as this on my Biz Plat: AT&T MOBILITY RECURR800-288-2020 TX
I got Spend $115 or more, get $15 back, up to 2 times (total of $30) on your Wireless Bill – which is about five times more than I usually spend..
