Amazon Partners With U.S. Bank For Shop-With-Points

Amazon has partnered with U.S. Bank to offer Shop With Points (that’s an affiliate link). The redemption rate is reportedly one-cent-per-point (which is less than the 1.5 cents per points when redeemed for travel on the Altitude Reserve). It is a nice way to redeem with no minimum.

We don’t know of any Shop With Points promotions on that front yet.

I just redeemed 991 points towards my Amazon balance with a sock drawered Altitude Go card. No need to worry about $10 RTR minimum or $25 minimum/$25 increments!

“Some of the information you entered does not match U.S. Bank’s records.”

Tried this- got an email from US. Banks stated to connect via link. There was no minimum and could cash out 5$ and 8$ from Cash +, and altitude connect respectively. Was going to close these out, so a real life saver as not to let the points go to waste

Has anyone managed to successfully enroll in this? I added my Cash+ to Amazon (which doesn’t normally earn “points”). When I try to enroll it doesn’t recognize the card as having a rewards account.

Let’s see when US Bank will require you to redeem $25 at a time

You can already do real time rewards at $10+

I’m only liking this because it brings the potential to bring out those “use 1 point and get $x off” deals

It’s probably going to be “use 1 point and then f- off” type of deal like with other amazon points deals recently.

I’m guessing this will be useless other than the use at least 1 point and get a discount deals.

It will be good for cashing out US bank rewards that haven’t reached the $25 minimum on the cash+, since I hardly use that card anymore, but it occasionally has a good rate somewhere that none of my other cards do, and qualifies me for a free checking account, which qualifies me for a free business checking account, so canceling it would be a waste. And if you got the new Shopper card, a better redemption rate than the Prime card at Chase until the AF hits. unless you spend $10,000/yr on amazon purchases for some reason.

I wouldn’t say its useless. With Real-Time Rewards you need to have enough points to cover the entire transaction. With the Amazon redemption, you can liquidated your points to cover partial purchase charges.

At least US Bank is providing multiple ways to cash out so you don’t have to deal with the $25 minimum $25 increment BS.

On my Altitude Reserve, the points are worth $0.01, so not as good as the $0.015 on travel.
