• Gesa Credit Union has a referral offer whereby the referrer and the new member each gets $100. Referrer can get up to $1,000 total if they refer 10 friends.
• New members must open a savings account and a SmartPlus Checking account with $25 to be eligible for the referral incentive.

The Fine Print

• Only one $100 referral incentive payment will be made per new referred member.

• New members can refer up to 9 new members.
• Existing Gesa members can refer up to 10 new members.
• For both new members and existing members, a maximum of $1,000 in referral incentives may be claimed before the program ends. New members will receive a $100 incentive for being successfully referred to Gesa and can refer up to 9 new members to earn up to $1,000. This promotion is available for a limited time only and can end at any time.
• New members must open a savings account and a SmartPlus Checking account to be eligible for the referral incentive(s). The checking account must be opened with a minimum deposit of $25 if opened online. No minimum ongoing balance is required to obtain the referral incentive(s). For both new members and existing Gesa members, referral incentives will be paid by direct deposit into the member’s savings account and within 60 days of the SmartPlus checking account opening. The incentive payments are subject to required IRS reporting. This offer cannot be combined with other offers.

Our Verdict

We’ve seen $100 offers from Gesa in the past; this deal looks easier than prior offers and also gives $100 for the referrer as well. Gesa also offers $5,000 in credit card funding as well. Some people might also find the 7%/$5,000 account interesting for actual use. Note, we did see a $200 offer last year as well.
