Got 1099 from Unest today showing in the closed account – a full week after the email which said it was available. Does not show the promo iheart promo earnings likely because it was a deposit x, earn y. 1099 shows only the stock sale which for me resulted in a small loss.
I know that ” IHEART50″ used to work, however, it seems like the code expired. Are there any codes that still work?

How do I close my account?
To close your account:
1. Open the UNest app and log in to your account.
2. On the Home screen, tap on the child’s account that you want to close.
3. From the child’s dashboard, tap the “gear” icon in the upper right of the screen and choose “Withdraw Funds”
4. When you’re prompted to select the amount to withdraw, choose “Close Account.”
Your account will be closed and funds returned to your connected bank on file, typically within 10-15 business days. There are some exceptions that may take longer or require additional verification (for example, recently opened UNest accounts, recently made contributions or received gifts, or if you have recently changed your connected bank account).
I did end up getting my $25 (+ a few cents of gains) deposit to my linked ACH account after closing. ~3 weeks is accurate. There is really no visibility after you get the close confirmation communication email as your login is disabled. However, I did get a trade confirmation email a few days before the ACH since given they had to liquidate my holdings (and T+2 before they transfer).

If your recurring deposit won’t be for some days, once the account is fully open (next day for me) just do a one time deposit and skip the recurring.
That way you can hopefully cancel the trial after the deposit posts. I got a SB notification email the same day I initiated a one time deposit. 32 day pending for the points.
The requirement is a posted deposit of $25, so per the terms it should still post regardless of trial/paid status. If for some reason I don’t get the SB I will pushback with my screenshot of the terms.

Yes, it even gives you the option to open an account for a future child. I did one for a current child, but when it came to the SSN, I left it blank and still got the reward.
