- Ally Invest is offering $100 signup bonus when you meet the following requirements:
- Open an Ally Invest Self-Directed Trading account or Robo Portfolio using the links on this page.
- Set up and start a monthly recurring transfer of at least $50 within 30 days of opening your account.
- Complete at least 3 consecutive monthly recurring transfers.

The Fine Print
- This unique offer is only available to select Ally Bank customers. Only the original email recipient is eligible and this offer cannot be transferred or shared. We’re all about playing fair, so if we believe you’re trying to game or abuse this offer, you won’t be allowed to participate in this offer or any future offers.
- You must open your eligible account between 01/19/2023 and 02/22/2023 and set up and make a $50 minimum monthly recurring transfer from any bank within 30 days of account opening and complete at least three consecutive monthly transfers by 05/23/2023.
- Your new eligible Ally Invest account must be open and in good standing at the time of the bonus payout to receive your bonus by 06/15/2023, to be paid directly to an Ally Invest Self-Directed Trading account or Robo Portfolio account you own. If you open more than one Ally Invest Self-Directed Trading account or Robo Portfolio, Ally Invest will pick an account to fulfill. You will receive an email with your bonus details closer to bonus payout.
- We’ll treat the bonus as interest for tax reporting purposes. You should talk to your tax advisor about potential impacts to your 2024 tax liability.
Our Verdict
Pretty easy offer to complete with three $50 deposits.A lot of people sent this in (thanks all!), and some have noted the fine print which indicates it’s a targeted offer. We’ve seen a similar offer in the past, I believe there have been better bonuses in the past as well. You can also get $75 in fees refunded, more info in this comment.
Do not share your links in the comments.
This account also offers $75 for any fees you MAY incur when transferring $2500 in via ACATS within your first 90 days. In fact the reimbursement form does not actually ask if/what you paid to transfer in.
https://ibb.co/3ptNqG1
I was able to successfully transfer in from Fidelity (free) and received the reimbursement within 2 business days after requesting.
Form: https://live.invest.ally.com/acats-fee/form
Did you transfer stock or cash? Wondering if cash would qualify
I just transferred $2500 in cash.
Thank you Bockrr It worked and I got the $75 bonus as well. William Charles easy to do ACAT cash bonus that Bockrr mentioned should be up there as well and maybe reposted. Did 2.5K ACAT partial from Bloom savings last week of Feb and once it posted, waited a couple days and filled the form for the 75 bonus. The bonus posted exactly a week later. I was able to ACH transfer out the 2500 cash from Ally through the previously linked bank account immediately after bonus posted. So at most you lose 15 days of interest in transit on the 2.5K. I did leave the 75 bonus plus a little bit just to be safe.
We try to stick to bonuses of $100+
Understood; this could still be a $175 bonus if it is considered along with the 100 bonus that is what this thread is about. The point is people who are doing the 100 bonus may as well get the extra $75 which is a public offer.
Ah that makes sense, let me look into it!
Just a note to anyone doing this: Not a good idea to ACH the 2500 out soon after ACATing it in. Just do a couple trades SGOVs or something and/or wait a couple months before pulling it out. My account got frozen and after a call to CS and several ID verification questions and some further few days of processing, they let me use it. Agent did say it was frozen due to the immediate pull after ACH of the entire amount.
did you transfer from the cash management account or actual fidelity investment type account?
Just completed a $100 targeted bonus:
10/28 Open Ally Invest
10/28 deposited $1005 from Ally accounts (not new money)
11/1 Withdraw $980
11/11 $100 bonus!
I had a closed Ally Invest acct with the account# still showing so the account doesn’t have to be completely “new” to qualify.
I share a joint checking and savings with my p2 and we each have logins, for some reason my email account received the ally invest $100 emails and hers did not. Is it possible to use the link i was given to sign up under her login to also get the promotion or does she need to have rec the email as well?
I tried to create an account with my targeted email but it says “This promotion has ended”.
5/29 auto tx a
6/03 auto tx b
7/01 auto tx c
8/01 auto tx c
8/08 $100 CROSSOVER PROMO
Because of poor planning, had to redo the auto-transfer scheduling 3 seperate times. So, 4 transfers were part of 3 different automated schedules.
I received this bonus recently as I got targeted shortly after opening a checking account for the MyPoints deal. I applied and was approved same day, set up 3 recurring $50 transfers within Ally from an external bank account (Fairwinds), and triggered the bonus shortly after making the third transfer.
I did not have any issues with my account getting locked or restricted. I clicked through the link in the email that I initially received regarding the bonus offer, and the promo code was automatically applied to my online application. I chose the Self-Directed Trading account for this offer like most everyone else I’m sure.
4/9 – Received first email notifying me of being targeted for this offer (I received several emails on different dates about it)
4/19 – Applied and approved for Self-Directed Trading account through targeted email
4/22 – First $50 automatic/recurring transfer from Fairwinds checking
5/21 – Second $50 automatic/recurring transfer from Fairwinds checking
6/21 – Third $50 automatic/recurring transfer from Fairwinds checking
6/26 – $100 promo bonus posted
I cancelled the transfers shortly after receiving the bonus. I haven’t withdrawn any funds yet.
Did you leave the funds in as cash?
Yes
due to poor planning, each of my 3 tx were not part of the same recurring schedule. no bonus recieving, will not bnoth calling
Did i imagined reading somewhere “we can claw the bonus if withdrawn within 30-90 days of receiving it? I thought i read it somewhere as i opened the account, now that i got the bonus, i’m unable to find this info @terms and conditions,(not sure if because it never existed in the first place). Any1 knows ?

Apr. 15 $50 transfer
May 15 $50 transfer
June 17 $50 transfer
June 26 $100 bonus
I did this promo last year and they emailed me the same promo again a few days ago. Any word in the fine print saying this can be done a 2nd time?
ben2 I was targeted as well even though I just recently closed my Ally Invest from late 2023. Might as well go for it again as it’s pretty easy to meet requirements.
I’m cheering for you!
I was able to get the bonus in 2022 and in 2023. The third time I did it in late 2023 again, I did not get the bonus. I checked the email and realized that the promotion link they sent me the third time is the same as the second time. So you can compare the promotion links, if the current link is different from the one you did in 2023, there is a high likelihood your churn will be successful. Otherwise, you are more likely to fail. Kyle
Hey, good tip, ShawntheShawn👈🏾. I did not receive the bonus on my second go-round. Per Ally, it was because it “had not been a year since my prior bonus”. Coincidentally, that year ended today, June 10, and I have two new offer emails, too (dated May 17 and June 2). I will examine the links in those two offer emails and may be reopening this afternoon.
Could be that they just got smarter and know to screen better, and any differences in the links were not the key. Just playing DoC’ers advocate.
Good point. 👍
Good info. That “a year” since prior bonus might be a hidden restriction. I just checked my records, the second time I opened my account (and successfully got the bonus later), it had been just a little over 365 days since I received the bonus in 2022. mangorunner
ShawntheShawn👈🏾, I checked my email links:
• Are you comparing the portion of the email link that comes after “qs=[long string of characters]”?
• Or, after I paste the link into a browser, it redirects to a link that contains “CP=EML[short string of characters]”?
In my case, the “qs=…” are different. The “CP=EML…” are the same. How should I interpret? Thanks!
I meant the redirected link in your browser’s URL. The second and the third time I did it, the link was ‘…/promotion/ipsumv8/…’ mangorunner
Yes, my redirected links were same as yours. Thank you!
I compared the new link to the one from 2023 and it’s slightly different. The last few numbers in the link are different. Also, looking at my screenshots of the offer from 2023 the end date is 12/31/2023. The new offer has an end date of 12/31/2024.
It’s only been 8 months since I opened the last one in 2023 so I guess I’ll be the guinea pig for testing the 12 month theory. Fingers crossed.
I’ll be standing by. (Think I will open tomorrow, too, but my bonus payout date is past 12 months.)
By the way, for everyone: the date that Customer Service referenced was specifically the bonus payout date (not the account open date).
As explained on the current promotion page, “These terms and conditions were updated on 12/19/2023 to adjust the end date of the promo to 12/31/2024.” So it is essentially the same promotion “/promotion/ipsumv8/“. Not looking good for you, but thanks for trying if you do it and best of luck! Kyle
Maybe I’ll slip by in the system 🤣
Did it work? Kyle
Sadly it did not 😒 ShawntheShawn mangorunner
6 months and still nothing
I am currently fighting them for my bonus. I did this offer before and they sent it to me in an email and I did it. They are lying about the terms saying I can’t get the bonus if I did it in the past. I do not see this. My first account was closed a while ago. I intend to keep fighting.
3/4 – Opened account, received targeted email
3/5 – 1st auto transfer posted
4/5 – 2nd auto transfer posted
5/6 – 3rd auto transfer posted
5/8 – $100 bonus posted
