Our Verdict

This offer isn’t as good as the 2021 offer for 125k + two free night certificates, but still a nice bump up from the standard 100k offer. We’ll add this to our list of best credit card signup bonuses.

What’s wrong with this offer? This seems like a decent card — loving the spread out in spend. I’ve never had this card before and I’m currently above 5/24.

Is this card worth getting next? It looks right to me so far as I’m unable to take advantage of Chase’s business cards for now. Thoughts?

It’s being compared to previous offers. The required spend increased from $6,000 over 6 months to $8,000 which reduces the return on spend. The offer before this was 3 free night certificates up to 50,000 points per night for a spend of $6,000 over 6 months. Some of the other offers before this one and the last one only required a $5,000 in spend to get the SUB.

The points in this offer are more flexible than 3 free night certificates from the previous offer. However, the total possible value of the points was higher in the last offer being up to a maximum of 150k compared to 125k with this offer.

It’s kind of worth getting depending on your objectives. This card is quite decent for being a keeper card since it gives you a free night up to a 35k value on your card anniversary year. Although, the return on spend is lower due to higher $8,000 vs. $6,000 MSR. Personally, I might end up getting it since I want to start the clock running so I can get the sign up bonus on a Chase boundless in 2 years after getting the sub on this card.

Thank you for creating clarity around this for me! Totally understand the increased SUB spend now.

Yeah, it seems like this is only going to continue to happen across the board. I am just grateful that we’re able to churn the way we churn and that it’s not dead altogether.

Looks like it’ll be something I’ll apply to shortly!

since this is a business card, does it still count toward 5/24?

this is a horrible offer. Amex really down bad if they keep upping the SUB spend.

Does anyone have a time line guide of when previous Marriott bonvoy card holders can apply for new Marriott bonvoy credit cards? The application time line is so confusing.

It’s $8k spend in 6 months now, instead of $5k spend in 3 months

I’m seeing the 125k points, but it’s after $8,000 spend in 6 months.

Looks like there’s a new SUB: three free nights (up to 50k point value per night) with 6k spend in 6 months. Seems pretty good given the long window for spend and the 150k point equivalent bonus if used to the max potential.  William Charles  Chuck

No bonus after hitting 5k. Just received the points for regular spending. Oh well. You win some and you lose some.
