Our Verdict
We’ve seen similar deals many times before. After accounting for the $5.95 purchase fee, you’ll earn $4.05 per Visa card purchased, or $24.30 for six. Could be a good deal for someone with a liquidation plan.
It gets a bit more interesting when stacked with a shopping portal for 1% cashback or more. Always check Capital One Shopping separately in the app and online since different people see differing numbers with them (just remember there are limited gift card cashout options with Capital One portal). I’m seeing the EOS10OFF promo code mentioned on shopping portals. And check your Citi Merchant Offers for an additional 1.5% back offer.

For those who are getting the card declines, it’s probably this batch has a new BIN (first 8 of the card) and the card processor still hasn’t added that new BIN in their database flagging the card number as invalid card number.
I ran into this when I was using previous card with one of the retailers.
The retailers should get their BIN database updated frequently, especially ones like Amazon and Costo in comments previously.
I’d just sit on the card for a little while before trying again.

I just tried again, different card from the same batch, to order shop card on Costco, and it canceled the order again. Lame. I’ll try again next week I guess.
I haven’t tried costco but it worked on QVC yesterday just fine.
BIN is the first 6.. and my BINs match cards that I purchased over a year ago.
Just got rejected trying to use these to buy Costco shop cards, which was my previous go-to.
What’s the reasoning for the rejection? I would try it again. My Fios payment was rejected and then worked the next day. Apparently, their system was down when I attempted the 1st payment.
The order went through and then it said it was canceled, and to check the billing information. I then tried with a different gc.com VGC from a batch from last month, and it also had the error.
Later I also tried a swagbucks mastercard and it did the same thing.
Then I made a product purchase using a real credit card and it went through.
I’ll keep trying obviously, but would be disappointed if these were blocked indefinitely.
Try to buy a physical item from Costco.com to see what happens.
how long will the money back to the card? My costco order also got cancelled.

Note that BofA Cash Rewards Online Category doesn’t work for Giftcards.com. Only the base 1% (plus whatever relationship bonus you have)
Strange. I’ve bought from Giftcardmall and Raise and they earned the category bonus for online shopping.
I also had previously earned the online category bonus for Giftcardmall and Raise. However, giftcardmall stopped working earlier this year if not last year and my most recent raise purchase in July also did not earn the category bonus. Likely, Bank of America fine tuning what merchant’s are excluded.
First time order. used paypal as a payment. Order got cancelled right after. don’t know why?
