Capital One has announced that the Capital One Lounge at Washington Dulles Lounge (IAD) will open on 9/7. When this lounge was first announced the opening date was scheduled for 2022, so it’s nice to see it finally open. The 8,500 square foot lounge is located just beyond the airport’s TSA PreCheck, between the East and West Security Checkpoints.

I stopped by today and spent a few hours there. It was about 85% full the whole time. The lounge is still in the soft launch phase. So expect this lounge to have Centurion-level crowding.
Already seeing reports of overcrowding, thanks to content creators.

Really wish DCA got the full lounge (who wants to go to IAD, bleh) but it’s understandable as the average passenger spends something like less than 30 minutes in the terminal – one of the shortest in the nation.
They’re building a Cent. lounge @ DCA–although won’t be open anytime soon it looks like
Took them long enough to open a 2nd. DEN was announced back in 2021 when the card launched and its still not open!
Agree… Sill waiting for DEN/DIA C1 lounge which hopefully opens very very soon…

DenverCap1 lounge update, Airport PR person told me that one would open Q4 at earliest. If you walk by it’s still heavily under construction so I think 2024 is more realistic.
:-(. Saw a post at reddit which seems to indicate opening much sooner & essentially ready to open very soon. Let’s see…. Was there a week ago & the Centurion lounge was decent.
