Have you tried yet to see f buying Gift card at HD will work for triggering promo?
I haven’t yet. My HD didn’t have anything I wanted to buy at 10% off.

It’s certainly a decent 10% offer, but pales with the Lowe’s 25% offer from last week. And Lowe’s usually has better gift cards.
What gift cards do they carry?
A couple of years ago when there was a big promo the best offers there were some gas cards, ebay and home depot itself.
Amex knew I just bought $200 worth of products at home depot on Sunday and decided to offer the deal on Monday smh.. looks like I’ll be heading back for a gift card instead
You can have them switch the payment type to the gift card by having them process a return and rebuy of the items previously purchased. I have done this at Menards and Target before.
