Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees

Early Account Termination Fee
There is also a $15 early account termination fee charged if the account is closed within 60 days, but keep in mind it needs to be open and in good standing to get the bonus.
Our Verdict
Could be worth doing if it’s a soft pull and you live in an eligible area.

This offer is back.
After initial application, I was asked for my ssn card, drivers, and proof of residency. Hard check confirmed with agent on phone call.
William Charles Under ‘the offer’ you have a typo, $3000 instead of $300.

I usually am at 1060 West Addison, but given the requirements, I also work at 333 W. Camden St.
Live in coverage area. got denied. Phone rep said I need to come into a branch to apply.
I doubt I would make this my primary bank, but that 4.00% on checking up to 20k sounds appealing. My brother lives in Baltimore City so I guess I qualify?
I’d like to see some more DPs before jumping in, but probably be tough with the limited availability.
edit: Chatted with CS and brother in Baltimore City does qualify me.
She also said it is a soft pull for the application.
I might give it a shot.
Got denied. Spouse works in the approved area. So I thought I would qualify based on family member language. When I called to see the reason for denial, was told my spouse needs to apply first and then I can reapply. Seemed like bs to me based on qualification language. My guess I may have been denied based on Chex. They pulled Chex.
JT How the rep says it is how I have always understood it.

Wonder if sometimes working out of a company office location in Baltimore City counts…
Walk into a branch and just tell them you work out of the office.
Be the data point you want to see! 🙂
