Our Verdict

Just remember that you don’t earn points on the purchase when paying with an Amex card, so it’s just the $20/$50 credit you’re getting and forgoing on regular card rewards.

Also, there are always lots of different promo codes that help waive fees. Please share what you see in the comments below.

I have yet to be able to use this card anywhere. Won’t be purchasing an Amex gift card again.

Added to Samsung pay and it works. Still a pain to wait for whole dollar purchases and keep track of them.

I’ve done this multiple times, however this will be the last time. the card is incredibly difficult to use – I’ve tried to use it on amazon orders/amazon reloads over 10 times and its only gone through two times and I’m not sure what im doing right for it to go through

Back in the day this used to be apple pay ready or at least you could pp yourself and eat the fee and come out slightly on top.
Got burned in May with these and reading all the comments I’m just gonna let my $10 offers expire.
Not worth it anymore unless there’s a code to ship physical cards at face value without any fees.

most of you buying a single $1000 e-GC to maximize? I see a shipping for physical card and a few if I break into smaller cards.

we should be able to get the physical card without fee today, right? Anyone has issue to use the physical card at local store?

I just tried using the card for a local utility (Eversource) and the payment went through. No fees.

Anyone tried to add it to Google Wallet and use it via GPay at local retail store?

Other than amazon, where else can we use it? I see folks failed to use it for utility, medical insurance, paypal pay, etc.
