Our Verdict
This doesn’t code as a grocery purchase as it’s Kroger online and processed by blackhawk network.
Hat tip to GC Galore
Those “buy $50 get $55” GC deals is just 9% off…..
The two Happy Holidays are physical cards. There are recent reports that Gamestop hardcoded its registers as of the beginning of October, but I have not checked myself. Can pay with PayPal to sweeten the deal.
Does paying with PayPal on kroger.com count as Online Shopping on BofA?
When I try paying with PayPal though (with Chase Freedom), it gave an error about zip code needing to be 5 digits. I don’t see any place to enter a zip code; and my address in PayPal has a 5-digit zip. Seems like a bug on Kroger’s end. Edit: in the PayPal wallet settings for my Chase card, it had a 9 digit zip. Changed that to 5 digits and it worked.
Does BoA deal have the “must use link”? Many of the deals BoA offers me have that. Even it doesn’t have it, I wouldn’t think buying gift cards at Kroger.com would qualify at BoA. It seems to me that these credit cards deals/offers (from BoA, Amex and Chase) have fine prints that say must pay directly, not through a 3rd party.
I didn’t mean BankAmeriDeals; I meant the Customized Cash Rewards card’s Online Shopping category for 3x points. Sometimes paying through PayPal counts for that when paying directly doesn’t.
No BofA online shopping category for paypal, no for gift cards at Kroger.
Are any of these choice cards actually physical visa debit cards? If so, do they still work for buying other cards in the named stores?
