Wells Fargo filed two new trademarks in late October:
It’s possible these are new credit cards that Wells Fargo plans to launch, but sometimes we see new trademarks filed that are never used/are used for something we don’t expect. Wells Fargo is expected to launch transfer partners for the Wells Fargo Autograph card on December 10, 2023. Another thought I had is that current cardholders could be offered one of the new trademarks above with the Beyond card receiving transfer partners and the Journey card not receiving them but that’s just a guess/thought.
Hat tip to Proud Money
This is a credit card to earn miles by flying into space, right?
There are a Bevy of Boundless and Bountiful branding pros who wish they got paid to do this naming game.
Just don’t get Bonvoyed!
ChatGPT, create a list of phrases in the form “Autograph [ethereal noun].”
If was the one taking the wild guess, Journey might be a ~$100 AF mid-tier card like the Altitude Connect, while Beyond is the full-fat CSR/Plat/Altitude Reserve/VX competitor.
I think “journey” will be a secured credit card
Autograph Journey seems like a new card/revamp at least. Benefits guide seems to be up (who knows for how long…): https://www.wellsfargo.com/credit-cards/autograph-journey-visa/guide-to-benefits/
Seems to have better travel benefits (and higher telephone protection claim limit) than current Autograph.
Also $95 AF for Journey: https://www.wellsfargo.com/credit-cards/autograph-journey-visa/terms/
Seems like it will come with 60k points SUB.
3x points on (seems same as Autograph?): Entertainment, Food/Drink Establishments, Fuel/Charging Stations, Telecommunication Services, Transport, Travel
Wells Fargo apparently went and got a degree from the Marriott School of Terrible Names
Dumb names, terrible branding. Take a lap, Wells Fargo Marketing Department.
