Just an update in case anyone checks in the future. I applied the promo on the last day but scheduled the delivery for the next day (after promo ended). It still worked. In fact, half the items were out of stock so I only had $50 worth of items and the $30 discount still applied. My instacart gift card was charged for the corrected amount and the items were delivered fine.
This deal is expired
Does anyone know if this will trigger the Chase Sapphire $15 credit for Instacart? It codes as Costco by Instacart
Thanks for the heads up. It does accept instacart GCs, just be aware that once you load an Instacart GC to Costco sameday the balance will not work at the Instacart site.
That’s true. The good thing is you can directly see the remaining balance of Instacart GCs in your Costco account and use them in future same-day orders.
Can you suggest some deals? What is cheaper at Costco vs Walmart?

Pretty sweet deal. Promo worked for me plus I had the 20% discount gift card. So it was a 50% savings.
In case you don’t want groceries today – the $30 off works if the delivery date is later in the week. And once the order is placed, you can reschedule/postpone it indefinitely.
Price is higher than at the store. Shames you into leaving a tip for delivery person. In the end, saved a little over $5. I guess it was worth it.
Spoiler alert: most online prices are higher than in-store. That’s the price of ‘free shipping’ baked in. Then add the premium for same day delivery because Instacart needs its cut.
There’s no such thing as a free lunch.
If you can’t decide if you wanna do this promo, don’t forget that
Costco at the same time is offering 20% off for Instacart gift cards

More like Instafart because they are a shit company
I’m getting an invalid error when putting in the gift card at the same day checkout page for some reason
Same, I don’t think you can actually use gift cards on the Costco site.
I was able to add an Instacart GC and it shows up during checkout:
https://sameday.costco.com/store/costco/storefront
click on profile icon in upper right corner
Credits, promos, and gift cards
Add a promo code or Instacart gift card
Thanks, with that 20% off, it definitely makes it cheaper.
I don’t think that works on Costco.com does it? And the coupon doesn’t work on Instacart.
Jesse You need to go to costco same delivery link, just click from Doc’s post.
Ok yep, and it wouldn’t accept an Instacart gift card on the Costco site, so I think they figured this out. You can only use the discounted gift card or the $30 code, but no way I can see to do both.

I got it to work. Need to add promo/gift card then go back to payment section and check the box to use credits. Then the balance due adjusted correctly.
i never do these like instacart thing , why? the shoppers always grabs the food like bread or any packaged food or any grocery items , any groceries from the front of the shelf which have very short expiry date and the rip off fees and tips. when i buy grocery or food, i only pick the item far behind of the front items which have longer expiry date and thus no waste of money if I don’t finish in 2 days.
I sometimes do instacart orders and I shop how I would shop for myself….pick latest expirations, best produce I can find, grab cold items last, etc.
I used to do take advantage of the instacart promo when they first came out like 3 years ago . they had lots of deals at the time but the food I order from grocery always had very short expiry date and some came almost rotten because they grab the items from the front of the shelf like most americans do from supermarkets.
so it never made sense for me since my family is used to searching for the freshest and longest expiry date.
If you were my shopper, I’d probably like Instacart more. But like many things, as they got bigger they needed more shoppers and had to pick from not the cream of the crop. Not all are bad, not even a huge number of them, but if I’m going to pay higher prices, a fee, and a tip, I would want the service to justify it on a consistent basis.
For these deals I would buy things that won’t expire soon or ever, like paper towels, coffee cups.
after the $30 off code and $100 for $80 instacart code, the price of costco ” weekly saving” items like the kleenex ultrasoft and gloves came to same price as costco in store price. NOT WORTH! costco online price especially instacart delivered items are super rip offs and always at least 15% more expensive than direct store price. it is only catered for those who are RICH and generous and also don’t mind near rotten and near expired items.
My fav are here, Costco + Instacart = best match! Reader Minnu knows me well. Minnu
